Do LinkedIn ‘cold’ messages actually work for landing jobs or clients?

Especially when you're preparing for a Product Hunt launch or scaling your startup?

When your message and timing is relevant, any channel will work. LinkedIn is no exception, it always works better when you are already connected and your contact has some idea of what you do and how expert you are (c.f. @byalexai relevant post below). I have done it in the past.

I think a lot of factors matter: the level of your personal account, your message, your product. So for some it will work great, but for others it won't.
I always ask myself, would I reply to this? If the answer’s yes, I send it.

Launching soon!
If you do it properly and authentically it works.
Definitely, cold messages on LinkedIn can work if they are well-targeted and provide value. The key is to do your research, personalize the message, and focus on how you can help them rather than just asking for a job. Building some prior familiarity by engaging with their content also helps. It takes more effort than blasting generic messages, but the results can be worth it. I've gotten consulting gigs and interviews this way.
If you focus on building connections rather than leading with the need to find a way to do business with the people, it can definitely work.
Not really but sometimes Yes.
Its not easy but if you are consistent, you may land on job or get connected with clients.
Yes you have find potential client from Linkedln. My agency also get clients through it
