Do you like when startups make pages with team members?

I don't often see pages with a team in startups. And I thought, is it interesting to know about the team that builds a product?

My opinion: It doesn't add much value. The buyer is more interested in the product than the team. Also, as you quickly scale, updating something like this can be quite difficult. Unless you are a startup that plans to stay lean, I don't recommend doing this.
Yes, it is all about TEAM, but save this for when you are selling your vendor on your product, and invite them to your team, when the time is right. Maintaining "team member pages" can be a distraction IMO.

I like it...and yet I don't have one for https://intribe.co. It's on the to do list but not near the top.

@sven_radavics we did that page some time ago, maybe it can be a reference :)

I like it! I like when startups put a face to the work and not just a CEO / Founder but everyone that's working hard to make it happen on a day to day

It's a good option when the company is hiring because can you see the diversity of team, well in my case this is important issue

@kevin_zepeda when you choose companies u always pay attention to the team members?
I think it's neutral. As for me knowing about the team may be interesting for asking questions to members, or basically figuring out what count of people works on the product. And of course, it works as a trust factor.

@easternleaves yeah, true! do you follow team members in twitter or ld?
@ksusha_golovchenko Yep. Especially if the team product matches my principles & tastes)
This is a good question. I think it depends on the goals of your startup. If you focusing on finding investors, definitely yes. Most of the time, the team is as important as ideas and metrics.
From a user perspective, I'm not sure if it's really that valuable. However, we had users asking about team, size or location

I think it has been great for us at OSlash, personally. We add our own touch to it too, by creating custom avatars for everyone who joins. And it's a nice way of getting to know each other internally too!

Thanks for asking this question! 😱 I was really thinking about it, in my startup we don't have a team page and I always wondered if I should do it or not.
I'm scared because we're a VERY small team, we do our best, but I don't know if it's worth creating.
What do you think? 🤔 What would be the best advice for my startup? We launched a year and a half ago.

I love such pages ❤️ Maybe I’m just curious but I’m always very interested to meet teams that thought of products that I find interesting!
And being a startup member myself – I love when creativity involved 😁 For example our own Aaply team page: https://aaply.app/team

Thanks for kicking off this discussion, @ksusha_golovchenko!
I launched on PH last week and received this as (great) feedback from @florin_biro.
Personally, I can only think of the positives already mentioned.

This made me think about why we haven't added a team page yet. It's mostly because this has never been a priority. We had made an about us page on Webflow, but are yet to add details to it.
However, after going through all the comments, I realize the importance of it in building trust and a way for site visitors to connect with individual team members.
Personally, I think it's nice. It humanizes the product and shows that there's commitment behind it.

Yes, it is important. A new startup team may be brilliant and experienced. Still, these qualities become irrelevant if the members fail to address a mutual vision and cannot pursue the company's future growth strategy together.

i neither for it nor against it. unless that team is providing a personal or 1on1 service, it's not all to much relative. but there is nothing wrong with it either

I find it amusing. But I never trust these are the real people.

I think it's nice. Gives it a personal touch and shows that they stand behind what they do.

Increases trust immensely! Especially for early stage B2B startups, having a few faces to put to the product and respectable backgrounds can be huge drivers.
