The first thing I always do for the idea is to look for the problem around me or what problem I am facing and currently the solution exists in the market or not.
If the solution exist then the next process will be to check how feasible is that according to UI, pricing and other criteria. We need to examine as a user experience first and later as a developer.
Build the MVP, get user feedback and plan accordingly.

With evoke-app.com, one of my friends found it hard to set up stable diffusion on the cloud to make an app, and other API providers being slow or pricey.
So we set up to make a stable diffusion API for app devs.
We'll also host more open source AI in the future, but stable diffusion and related models are our current focus
https://skilledup.life - free talent for tech startups started in the middle of Covid 19 pandemic.
I blogged about the start https://www.skilledup.life/backg...
Essentially, I lived with the problem since 2004. How do you build a team to take your vision for a tech startup forward if you do not have sufficient capital to hire a team?
Not every tech startup is investible. In fact, less than 1% of tech companies get funded. If you do not have capital, your chances of success are low.
I finally managed to solve this and I am thankful to the break the pandemic offered.
We considered the needs and feedback of our customers and the current trends in the industry in order to create something that would be most beneficial to our users.
@annachen_ While I definitely agree these are necessary things, I'm not sure they're sufficient. The reality of business is that you don't just need to have something great that people want, you also need to have a way to deliver it to them at a cost that makes economic sense. So I'd add that, in addition to thinking about customer needs and feedback, it also makes sense to validate whether you can drive waitlist signups at a cost lower than your expected LTV. Keep iterating through things your customers value until you find something that checks all the boxes.
@annachen_ valid point Anna!
Insight7 would be a very valuable tool for your team.
We’re launching in a few days. Can you please support us too.

With Lens, you can easily track and analyze your participants' engagement levels in real-time, as well as gain insights into their behavior and preferences.
This data can help you make informed decisions about your next steps, and improve the overall quality of your meetings.
Overall, Lens is the perfect tool for anyone looking to take their online meetings to the next level.
We launched on Product Hunt today! Please show some love ❤️
All my previous products are the solutions to the problems that I faced.
This is my ideal process
1. Faced a problem
2. Look for existing solutions
3. If not solution exists, then I will build one.
Great question! Our founder realized a problem in his relationship - most date nights were not exciting anymore. Countless movie nights just became the expected, and we want to change that. Originally, we thought about creating an app that can generate date ideas that couples would swipe and match on. Eventually, it became a broader and all-encompassing relationship app that:
1. Keeps track of your partner's likes, dislikes, anniversary, important dates
2. Uses AI to answer any questions you may have about relationships, love, dating...
3. Keeps track of the couple's financials.
When I started Thirdwork (a freelance talent marketplace), two things helped:
1.) I've worked as a freelancer before, but also hired dozens of freelance writers, designers, developers, brand strategists, and marketers over the course of my career. That at least gave me some intuition around the pain points I should understand.
2.) We scheduled over 50 structured product feedback sessions with founders, builders, and product leaders (all of whom were open and interested in hiring freelancers for their teams).
We did all of this before writing a line of code.
This allowed us to ask questions, understand which messages resonated (product-message fit matters!) and test hypotheses without any preconceptions, which was hugely helpful.
I was actually researching different ideas in AI and productivity, but since I am ADHD switching between different browser windows and tabs was really annoying, and I kept losing track of my work or getting distracted.
Then I thought to myself, why are browsers so crap, and what is the likelihood of others feeling the same way 🤔
Bought the domain ihatemybrowser.com and started testing different browser ideas, and here we are, SigmaOS a browser designed to make you fast and focused while working on the web :)
I wanted to comment on a podcast
- Tried going to 3 different communities of the podcast, but no one had a post by the creator on the episode I wanted to comment on
-Tried Reddit community, but I had to clarify exactly what's the context to my comment. I felt it was overcomplicated, must be a better way to do that.
-Designed 1st Podiz version, tested with users, failed.
- Designed 2nd Podiz version, tested with users, failed.
- Designed the 3rd Podiz version, tested it with users, and it worked great. Fantastic feedback and 90%+ success rate in all tasks, authentic enthusiasm.
The idea wasn't found as much as it was sculpted from the problem. I'm sure we have a long way to go...
I think the idea for Grabee https://grabee.com/ came from a desire to make it easier for product teams to get feedback from their users and prioritize that feedback.
I'm a huge fan of feedback management. I've used several tools over the years, and I've never been completely satisfied with any of them. The problem is that they're either too simplistic, so they don't give me enough information about what users are saying about my product, or they're too complicated, and I get bogged down in managing all the data points and updates that come in via email or Slack.
It's important that we listen to what people want, but it's also important that we don't let all the noise drown out the signal.
And that's how Grabee came up
We were saddened by the lack of faces in marketing and the number of people hiding on group chats without cameras on. Having a remote workforce meant people in different timezones felt left out, the team were isolated and not engaging in a friendly "human" way. So we came up with the idea to create an asynchronous video-first community platform so timezones didn't matter (asynchronous) and conversations became more personal and authentic (video conversations).
@martine_hammar Online meetings are definitely hard to get right. People seldom get comfortable with switching on their videos.
This is the reason why we created Lens (getlens.io) to get insights about the participants, metrics about their engagement and tools to make sure online sessions are never boring again.

We talked to folks using the current solutions available in the market to understand what's missing and we found a BIG gap
@manoj_radhakrishnan1@neeraj_kumar_n - your views?
I could not find an app that generated lorem ipsum text independent of what program or app I was using. So I ended up with one VSCode extension, one chrome extension and one figma extension for the same purpose, generating lorem ipsum text. All of them working in their own way.
That's when I came up with the idea for the Lorema app, which solves this issue perfectly! :)
@daniel_danielsson@angeli_ Yes, I'm currently coding solutions I'm gonna use almost daily because I can't find a market version that suits my needs. I've already done the same with documents and data; collected what I needed, used it extensively and then offered it to some friends to avoid them the extra work. I'm now thinking to turn it into a side project. If feedback is good and lots of people want it, it's a good way to make your work profitable once more ;)
@angeli_ same here.

I suffered for many years on the job as an investment banker.
Always wondered why there were no new tools to make the financing tasks more efficient
Got tired and decided to found a startup to solve the problem
I was spending a lot of my time searching for in-depth startup-related resources, trend and industry reports. At some point I started putting them in the excel file. Some of the resources were truly amazing and high-value, but very few knew about it. That is how Knowledgehunt was born - 'Curated free knowledge directory that will help you ideate, discover new and upcoming trends and solutions, and grow your business'
In case you wanna check it out and give feedback - Knowledgehunt.co
Usually, the idea comes from a real-life situation, when I experience a problem. And after that I try to get deep insights into the problem, find ways to solve it and get as much information about the topic itself and the competition on the market.
