It seems to me that if there is stress at work at the beginning of the week, something is wrong with the weekend =) Stress usually builds up by the last day of work and is relieved with music, beer, hookah and board games with coworkers on Friday night with nice music
Definitely make a to-do list. I realized all the stress comes from me thinking and worrying about things, so I just stopped thinking and started doing, and making a to-do list helps me get started.
first of all, If you like your job, you will not be stressed. This is golden rule. otherwise, you need to review your decisions.
second point is prioritize the tasks and be consistent.
If I feel stressed and overwhelmed, I usually take my time to get into the work mood. Sometimes, simple breathing practices, tea, or sweets can make a really big mood change.
More specifically, journaling and maintaining a structured list of tasks make it easier to manage everything. Here, people have already shared some tools for that.
Also, I’d like to add that it is really easy to dissect big tasks into small ones, but it makes a big difference.
Wishing everyone productive and stress free week!
Breaking down big goals into small milestones and getting to mindset that whatever I am doing now will yield results in the future, so I better be trying, testing out things, succeeding, failing, trying again. It will pay off in the future!
I used to jump in straight to work first thing in the morning.
Nowadays, I go for a long walk on Sundays and think about the most important tasks and how they help me reach my goal.
In the evening I create a list in my notebook and plan just enough tasks for 2-3 hours of deep work a day.
I spend the rest of the day on a Manager schedule - talking with customers, writing emails, interacting on social media, etc.
Plus I start my days with 5-10 minutes of meditation and a walk with coffee!
@tanya_p Yes! Here, the trick is distribute each to-do into your planner so it helps visualize your days, weeks, months... But sometimes things happens like your computer breaks.
At the start of the week, stress is not so severe. But it tends to build up during the workweek, so relaxing and recharging over the weekend is crucial.
