I would say extremely important. Just based on my experience as both a marketer, entrepreneur and someone who uses apps. A good UX can be the deciding factor when shopping for an app to use or product or service.
This is especially true when your offering is similar to competitors. Potential users WILL be comparing and you can be sure that they'll go with the better UI/UX, even if it's more expensive.
They might try your competitors for a while, but they'll come back to you if you offer them a better experience.

In the early days of app development, many companies focused solely on the functionality of their product and didn’t give much thought to the user experience (UX) or user interface (UI). However, as the app market has become more saturated, it’s become clear that UI and UX are crucial for a successful app.
Good UI and UX can make your app more intuitive and easy to use, which will keep users coming back. It can also make your app more visually appealing, which can help it stand out in a crowded marketplace. In short, UI and UX are important because they can help you create an app that users will love.
If you’re planning to develop an app, be sure to invest time and resources into creating a great UI/UX. Work with an experienced designer who understands how to create an intuitive and visually appealing interface. And don’t forget to test your app thoroughly before launch – user feedback is essential for making sure your app is as amazing as it can be.

An effective UI/UX structure makes the users stay and help businesses eventually earn loyal customers
I absolutely agree with you! As a user myself, I understand how essential a correct UI/UX is for an app. In fact, I think it is one of the most necessary factors in deciding whether I proceed to use an app or not.
If an app is hard to navigate or has a perplexing layout, I'll quickly grow to be frustrated and seem to be for an alternative. On the different hand, if an app is intuitive and easy to use, I'll be extra probably to stick round and explore its features.
And like you mentioned, it is not just about aesthetics. While having a visually attractive app is actually a plus, it is greater vital to make certain that the app is useful and meets the desires of its users.
In a brand new market, there are so many apps handy for nearly any venture you can imagine. That's why it is vital for builders to prioritize UI/UX when designing their apps. A well-designed app can set itself aside from the opposition and appeal to a loyal person base.
