I do think that solving one problem leads to another. If collectively as global citizens we become more sensible, aware and also respect each other, things might slowly fall into place
With my new platform you can solve problems for people, maybe they are not global but if it is about helping people here it is -> http://www.talendy.com
@worklab Yes you're right, The platform has been alive for a day and users are arriving but in the meantime, as I am a software engineer, I will help you with any questions, problems or tasks related to software and programming.
@alex_hernandez9@worklab Nice concept . We can surely scale this. If we make it open to Open source community they can make good use of it, even non profits and volunteer work can be done this way.
Basically earning karma is like a virtual currency. But most importantly there should be a way to benefit or use these coins, only then users would be incentivised. Do think on these lines
@worklab@balaji_rao1 You have a very interesting point of view! Open source community, brilliant, what I have in mind for the next step is to transfer it to schools so that teachers can positively assess their students based on what they have helped others, I see that it is not rewarded enough.
That I would know how to carry it out, but I don't know how to reach open source people,
And virtual currency you mean like crypto?
Right now only can make posts if you have karma coins, if not you have to help someone that is the incentive.
Thanks for your lines, i've loved your feedback
@worklab@alex_hernandez9 By virtual currency i referred to Karma coins.
You can reachout to Open source folks on their project slack groups, discord etc. You can check them out on Github too.
The students usecase is great too. Students can also give karma coins to get help in a test (Just joking)
You are doing great work Alex. In case you need any help related to Product, or strategy do feel free to reachout to me

Education.
There are many urgent, high-level problems in the world at any one time, but I feel the root cause is regularly due to lack of education or cultural understanding (a subset of education, in my book).
Some obvious problems, which we can clearly attribute to lack of cultural understanding:
* Conflicts
* Racism & Xenophobia
Some less obvious ones, which I think education can, indirectly, alleviate:
* Poverty
* Climate Change
* Pandemics
@richard_francis2 : Richard, you hit at the core of all this. Education should create sensible brains. Working on it with my coaching program which I call 'Spiritual Entrepreneurship' to counter existential as well as ecological crisis.
@j1j8 Yeah the brain drain problem is always gonna be there to some extent.
But eventually education leads to innovation. And with innovation comes prosperity. And countries with greater levels of prosperity tend to do better at retaining talent.
Climate change. It's terrible how there is still a lot of people who believe that the climate crisis is a joke. A ruined planet is the extinction of the human race.
The deliberate lack of impartiality that news, current event and periodicals put forth in order to shape cultures to resemble a portrait of what a toddler would consider a perfect world.
Support children who have been abused and come from broken homes! To help our world's future we need to make sure that the ones who will build it are well and healthy!
Racism & Prejudice
I think we will eventually "invent-our-way" out of
- Pandemics
- Climate change
- Access to water
- Access to education
Human behaviour is a much more complex problem...
unhappiness and the invisible problem of loss of longevity in ambitions. This does not sound impressive compared to burning problems like the pandemic, hungry children, child trafficking, poor national leadership, environmental issues, total wipeout of species etc.. Or lesser burning problems like inflation, imbalance in working population to retired, unemployment, rise in mental illnesses, loss of identity of migrants, uneven wealth distribution and the likes.... But had we incorporated longevity in ambition and proactive measurement of consequences of pursuit of money, we wouldn't be here.
Surprised that there's hardly any mention of plastic waste and the threat to wildlife and all known flora and fauna, in turn threatening our oceans and our very own existence .. Plastic is a problem that can't wait for human beings to become less racist, sexist, exploitist, greedy and so many other human vices!!
Under-resourced parents: with enough sleep (!), financial and mental resources parents would make better decisions for their children, be able to raise better humans.
For people to understand how they spend there time.
I believe so many problems come from an unawareness of time.
People work too hard and burn out, neglect family and friends and feel alone, get stuck in apps so don't complete things, stop learning because there"is no time".
If we could see how we actually spend time we would change it to be happy and healthier.
I'm trying to solve this with www.everyhour.xyz
Poverty. In my perspective, poverty enables other social/global issues we face today. If you take a look at racism, it's systemic and deep-rooted in laws, especially property laws. If we look at the current scenario, poverty is a significant reason the third world can't tackle the pandemic properly. I could go on, but you get the idea.
I want to build a platform where people of different view could understand each other participating in fruitful discussions and make informed decisions, starting from their neighborhood and up to the state level. I want it to become a two-way communication channel between the people and the authorities. I want it to help people believe that their opinion matters, and they have a vote not just once in a few years, but in their everyday lives.
Our ChoiZY team has globally tackled the issue of career guidance. Agree, it is unpleasant to work outside your specialty, having spent so much effort and years on training.
Honestly? I would say giving the right knowledge to the new generation. All our issues come from education. If people are hungry in the world, if there is the climate change, it's due to the previous generation and the education they receive. Definitively, if I can do something it would be in the education 😇
