Is launching on Product Hunt worth it?
There's so much out there on HOW to launch here on PH, but not so much of a discussion on whether it's worth the effort.
After our launch where we took #1 product of the day, I sat down to run an analysis on whether it was worth it or not. Put all our findings here:

@benoit_collet Over time I've connected with more people on PH - we've supported each others launches, met on Twitter or in forums like this :-) i,e if we connect, I'm happy to check out your launch and same other way around!
PH community ppl are much higher quality "upvotes" than my early adopters because they know PH and spend time here.
Nice breakdown. We did a launch last Thursday, and more reflections to come. Loved the part about value vs expectations.

Splendidly written. A landmark contribution to launching on Product Hunt.
Before I read your article I was under the impression that unless you already have a huge community of followers, getting on top of Product Hunt will be a constant battle.

PH is worth it if you work hard on the engagement before/after the launch and attract recognized hunters from the community. Most importantly, you need to have people from the product/company/project team eager to join discussions and engage with comments!
I have found the PH as a helpful community, but it hasn't significantly impacted traffic/conversions. For sure, CoinGate cryptocurrency payment processing/trading products aren't for the general public, but our brand recognition can be affected with the proper engagement.

Thanks for sharing this experience, @yehoshua_zlotogorski ! I'll definitely try those tips for the next launch. A real shame that you cannot re-launch the product again, as we've done it very spontaneously with the team and certainly didn't get the whole launch effect. Do you know what can be done in order to get more engagement post-launch?
@weronika_spaleniak Thanks! Glad it’s helping. you actually can “re launch” by simply launching a slightly different variation or feature. If you search for “Descript “ they have several different launches. Figma launches features fairly often as well. Even Spotify launched podcasts :-)
So definitely can launch again and double down.
In fact I’ve found that engaging with the PH community Long term is beneficial far more than a “one and done” since you
Gain followers after each launch etc
