I am afraid to say yes because right now I have tons of messages on LI and Twitter so I cannot read my "normal" convo with people I want to write with. They are usually flooded by these messages and then forgotten by me 😃 If those DMs were there, I would probably go crazy.

A while back - days, perhaps weeks, I do not remember - another topic came up. My idea there was to restrict direct messaging to followers or people reciprocally following each other. Will someone request votes for their product? Likely so. But at the end, they're reaching out to individuals who have chosen to follow them.
