Many people (founders, entrepreneurs, makers, or marketers) can taste sweeter or bitter activities.
What things do you find the most exciting and the least exciting?

š I like the variability of activities I can do and situations I can learn from.
š I do not like the bureaucracy around that.

Being in business just feels normal. Haven't got a fancy degree or trade. Still work part-time for stability, and the money I make from business is all in savings, letting it compound.
What about you? How'd you get started in business?
What I love the most is the freedomāthe freedom to be yourself, to set your own schedule, choose where you work from, and pick the people you work with.
I love the ability to work on projects that excite me and to focus on areas and things I find personally interesting.
What donāt I like? The sacrifice of time. Missing out on the little joys of lifeāfamily gatherings, going out with friends (though letās be honest, there's a certain charm in that, despite what the "gurus" say). Itās not that I donāt do those things now, but just in smaller doses.

I think a lot of makers would agree with me that the most exciting and enjoyable times are when planning and especially when building.
Ironically, and as critical as it is, I donāt like launching! You somehow have to convince yourself that youāre done for now, itās good and itās enough, and then try to convince others. I donāt like getting in my own way!

Almost everything has a solution and the fact that none are perfect - which they canāt - is in my mind the reason every maker eventually has the āthere needs to be a better wayā thought.

I think a mindset of ājust enoughā or āit works fineā wouldāve never gotten us (as humanity) to where we are.

The best part about being an entrepreneur is the freedom and excitement of creating something new and the ability to directly impact people's lives. The worst part is probably the stress and uncertainty, and feeling like you can never fully disconnect from work. But overall it's incredibly rewarding!
Most: Creating something valuable that helps people and feeling the satisfaction of building a successful business. Least: The immense responsibility, stress, and uncertainty, especially in the early stages before reaching profitability and stability. It's a roller coaster ride but worth it if you're passionate about what you're building!
The best part is being your own boss and pursuing your passion! But it can be lonely and the uncertainty around money is stressful. I love the freedom and creativity but miss the camaraderie and stability of a regular job sometimes. Finding balance is key!
