What's the most valuable lesson you've learned from collaborating with others?

Being honest and respectful from the very beginning is a key for me. We grow as a team just because of those two things — helps us appreciate any opinion, also question things and get to the most creative solutions. And it’s important to know there’re different fazes of team collaboration: forming-storming-norming-performing. Based on that we’re pretty self aware why we fight today haha and it will be better tomorrow.

Being able to envision yourself as the other individual or group and their response to your explanations or solutions can dramatically improve the collaboration effectiveness.

Even if its their "job", if you want someone to go beyond their comfort zone to get something done - give them an indirect personal agenda to do so.

Additionally, it is important to promptly identify anchors in communication barriers, especially in cross-disciplinary interactions. In such cases, assumptions that you understand something may not be shared by others. It is crucial to recognize what needs immediate clarification, as many listeners may not express their lack of understanding. If the entire conversation proceeds without addressing these points, the outcome is likely to be ineffective.

To collaborate effectively, learn and understand each other's ways of working and how everyone is most productive, communicate often, and keep everyone in the loop on changes, updates, etc.

Respect to others, is the easy thing to forget, but is truly the essential part for building collaboration.

As long as you're targeting the correct parters, partnerships/collabs can be a great way to appeal to a new audience or even a great way to enter a similar but new niche in a certain market.

Learning to compromise and also learning more from other people's ideas, as they have a different perspective and different experiences.

Cooperation with people from different countries, with different mentalities and professions has taught me to approach goals and tasks more thoughtfully and to take into account the interests of others.
