What type of funding would you prefer for your startup?

I am trying for grants because of the social impact of my product, but I also need some investor money for things not included in the grants.

The best option is money from clients, then grants, then venture capitalists, and the worst option is friends.

Grants, but they are hard to get.

Grants > VC Funding
