This is the second edition of 100 UI/UX tips, originally written in 2021.
Over the past 3 years, I've added new tips, removed outdated ones, and provided context for some of them.
I've added links for further reading and improved the illustrations.
Hello, Product Hunt community!
I originally launched the book in 2021. Since then, I've kept on learning and posting about UI/UX.
It turned out that I had gathered tons of artboards in Sketch and Figma, and I decided to create the second edition of this book.
I removed some of the previous tips that I considered less important, added new ones, and tried to provide more context for some of them.
Now, who is this book for? π€
It's for everyone interested in user interfaces.
It might be especially useful for developers, UI/UX designers, solo founders, and anyone who wants to learn more about digital interfaces.
What's inside?
Exactly 100 UI/UX tips across about 150 pages.
I've included a few examples in the gallery, and you may have already seen my tips on Twitter, so you should have a good idea of what they look like.
Grouping them into sections was challenging because one tip can belong to many categories.
It's not very precise, but here are the sections I've covered:
πΉ Typography
πΉ Language
πΉ Icons
πΉ Layouts/Alignment/Flow
πΉ Usability
πΉ Forms
πΉ Visuals
πΉ Misc (everything else)
I tried to be succinct so that you don't need to read a lot. Almost every tip includes an illustration.
I hope you'll like it. If things go well, I plan to delve deeper into UI/UX, especially in such areas as responsiveness, mobile apps, and accessibility.
My dream is to merge UI/UX knowledge with development so that you can learn both simultaneously, for example by providing code snippets.
I even attempted to create an interactive platform but realized it would take a year of full-time work, so I've put that off for now.
Thank you, guys!
The book looks great! I love the examples shared in these screenshots. Definitely worth 10X the price. Congrats @victor_ponamariov and wish you best of luck for the launch.
@kevonc Thanks Kevon! I remember how I tried to make a mega-interactive-course in February, when we're were building in public, but I overestimated myself so much. So I decided to start with this book, let's see how it goes
Congrats on the launch @victor_ponamariov! Been following your work for years and stoked to see this come together into a book. Definitely a good investment π₯
Hey there Victor congrats on the launch! I've been a big fan of your UI/UX tips for a long long time, thanks for putting in all the time and effort into creating all this amazing content π
Congrats, Victor, on the launch! I've been reading all your posts on UI/UX and I find them truly helpful. I'm sure this books is packed with even more valuable stuff π
@aina_kanatkyzy Thanks for your kind words. Unfortunately books are not welcomed on PH anymore, so it will not go on the front page :( But It's still experience
