Big fan of 1Blocker on my phone 👍
Honest question: How does this compare to Ghostery?

This feels like they are trying to ride the coat tails of the Agile Bits people who created the wildly popular Mac "1Password". Indeed my first reaction was "oh cool, the 1password guys build an ad blocker, I like & trust them".
-1 for naming
I came, I bought, I tested, It did not work at all (3 sites full of popups and ads), ... now I try to get a refund... (good luck to find it on app store (much easier to buy than to reimburse) :X
@khanov@1blocker hi, yes it was freshly installed AND activated. I sent you a sample URL and a screenshot of what's not blocked for you to check, the sites I tested are french, that might be part of the problem ?
You know 1Blocker, don't you? Everyone knows and loves 1Blocker on their iPhones. It works, it's simple if that's all you need, but it's super customizable is you want to. I was fortunate enough to get access to pre-release versions of 1Blocker for Mac and have been using it for the last two months. And, like on iOS, it's my favorite so far. I tried Adamant and Nope, and they were OK, but 1Blocker has a much greater built-in rule set and greater customizability.
Here's a pro-tip for your sanity and productivity: Use this app to block social media and all the things you're addicted to on your Mac. Just do it. You can browse Twitter on your iPad, it's fine. Keep your Mac a work machine. Here's my custom rules tab: https://twitter.com/radexp/statu...
Finally a native Safari content blocker for macOS. Instabuy! I use 1Blocker on iOS and love the fact that you can add custom filters and everything syncs via iCloud.
This was the first blocker I installed on my iphone 6s and used it for months but while browsing Safari with this installed and activated, my phone would overheat. Not enough to trigger the safety shutdown but certainly hot to the touch. I'm not saying the app was the culprit (I'm aware there are many variables involved) but as soon as I removed the app it stopped. Was this ever an issue with anyone else? Other than that, the overall design/UX is great and does what it claims but as mentioned, I'm not sure people are willing to shell out $5 for something a million other apps/extensions do for free (yes, even if the behind the scenes process and implementation is different)
@shakenbake1980 Overheat issue is a known problem, there was a bug in one of previous versions of 1Blocker for iOS (malfunctioning rule triggering Safari to block font loading requests infinitely). It was successfully fixed a few months ago and we haven't heard about this issue from our users ever since.
I think it's really interesting. Wether it's something people will pay for - not sure? I highly rate the product, my question lies on the fact that are current ad-blockers poor enough to get people to actually pay for this app? Whats the market research saying?
Essas extensões para safari geralmente nunca trabalhando de verdade. Porém esse é diferente, realmente funciona, melhor do que o modo privado nativo que já existe no safari. Super recomendo.
I'm able to save a ton of money by just holding up my hand and blocking stuff, but it doesn't totally work because of the shape of my hand and the shape of the ads
