Hey guys, I’m Shir, CEO of accessiBe, the world-leading web accessibility solution that now brings you aCe! Initially developed as an internal testing tool for accessiBe, aCe is powered by our industry-leading AI, to deliver immediate and reliable results. We’re honored to share this exciting project with you today and to drive awareness to website accessibility - an essential topic around the web these days. People with disabilities comprise 20% of the world's population. By having an accessible website, you not only are compliant with accessibility legislation such as the United State’s ADA, but you also increase your potential customer base. The reality is that most websites are not accessible, and the unfortunate part is that they are finding it out the hard way, as web accessibility lawsuits continue to increase around the world. We made aCe completely free because we want to reach as many people as possible in our efforts to drive awareness to web accessibility. With an immediate answer and a high level of clarity to whether your website is compliant or not, you can decide on your next steps. Go ahead and just type in any website you want to check - the results may surprise you! We’ll be here if you have any questions or feedback. Bring on the hunt!

@shir_ekerling1 This is a game changer. With all of the accessibility regulations out there, businesses need to make sure they're compliant. Having the ability to run a free report like this is a huge help.

Love the tool... one thing you may want to consider is a "share with developer" button. That way someone technical can get the report and just fix it all...
Yan Yanko Kotliarsky
@neilpatel Hi Neil, thanks for the suggestion. It's a good idea and we're working on adding this feature. For now, users can download the audit report and input the developer's email. But again, good comment.
Gail Gardner
@neilpatel Wow. NeilPatel.com is fully compliant. What's your secret, Neil? (I ran your site because I figured if any site was fully compliant, it would be yours.)

This is such a unique and interesting tool and could have a huge impact on the world wide web. Accessibility has fallen behind the curve in the evolution of website design and aCe could well help bring it back to the front from my early testing. I thought that our company website would be fairly compliant but I was quite wrong, especially for graphics. We certainly need to put work into fixing these accessibility issues. The breakdown of each section and each test inside aCe is excellent. I love the way it puts the results into sections and explains each test/check in detail. I counted 50 checks altogether, which is very conclusive! I'd also be very interested to see whether fixing issues highlighted be aCe has an impact on both SEO and CRO.
Emocrest
I have tested my website https://emocrest.com/ and shown Semi-compliant and there after i got a detailed live chat with your team through the official website. i really appreciate for the quick team responses.

What a cool idea! I just checked my site and it has a long way to go. I’m curious about the connection between web accessibility and SEO. Does google give any value to accessibility in their algorithm?
Yan Yanko Kotliarsky
@mathewgeldberg Thanks for your feedback and that's a great question: Google does emphasize the importance of web accessibility, even if not directly. For instance, alt tags contribute to SEO ranking, but also help people with disabilities "understand" image content. A lot of the things that Google take into consideration are also things that help people with disabilities easily navigate websites.
Gail Gardner
@mathewgeldberg @yan_yanko But in a way, Google is disincentivizing the alt tag from being an accurate description of what the image is by their SEO expectations for that field. How many include the target keyword phrase vs a description of what is in the image?
Yan Yanko Kotliarsky
@mathewgeldberg @growmap That's because people are more focused on manipulating the SERP, rather then thinking about the users. 🤷‍♀️

👏 Great product & great team (extremely professional. Disclaimer - I know what i'm talking about as I had the privilege of working closely with the team on some exciting Growth projects) Can't wait to see how they continue to save the world one feature after the other.

On Product Hunt, some hunted products are cool, some are nice to have, but the majority won’t survive the market test and will die, unfortunately. This product is a must have for any website as it has “empathy” integrated deep in to it as a core element. Thinking on others first is vital for any product. Thinking on “challenged” others is far greater than that.
Idan Levi
Nicely done!
Simi Spolter
you rock!
Uri Eliabayev
Super important product!
Yan Yanko Kotliarsky
@urieli17 Thank you, Uri, indeed super important. We genuinely hope website owners will make web accessibility a priority.

Great tool, nice work!

I just checked Product Hunt using your tool. The result: "Non-compliant You have a long way to go to achieve WCAG 2.1 compliance." From your experience, how difficult it is to implement those suggestions and make a site fully compliant?
Yan Yanko Kotliarsky
@michaeljohnston32 Hi Michael, and thanks for your question. Web accessibility is not an easy thing, and this is precisely why we've developed our solution and lunched aCe. We realized that to make a website accessible, website owners need first to get a simple answer to the accessibility level of their site. Once they know what they need to fix, they can choose the appropriate solution for that (for example our main product),, and it's already simplifying the process.
Joydeep Bhattacharya
Nice tool. There are so many things that needs to be taken care of to make a website accessible. This tool lists all of them. Great job guys!

Yet another great product coming from this team! When will we see any accessibility products for mobile apps/games?
erez_z
I love these kind of DO GOOD products. Thinking about the millions of people who would be affected by a more accessible web. This one definitely deserves an upvote.
