I see that this connects to Airtable, but why wouldn't I just use Airtable for this?

@chrismessina Thanks for the question Chris! Airtable is not great when it comes to building reports.
Ex, if you built a custom CRM in Airtable (let's say with two tables "leads" and "deals"), you won't be able to have a funnel report with your # of leads per week, # of deals moved to each stage, etc
Building this report is possible with Actiondesk though. You can see Actiondesk as the BI tool, and Airtable as the database if that makes sense.
Very useful even if you already have a data stack for simplifying communication and selfserve for business stakeholders. Congrats
Been using Actiondesk for close to a year at Level Frames. It was super easy to set up and connect to our database. We now have multiple important dashboards that are always up to date. Genius and huge time saver, I highly recommend especially if you are familiar with spreadsheets and want to dig into your own data without bugging the engineering team. Also, @joparisot and team are super responsive and rolling out new stuff at an impressive pace.

Our initial launch (same name) was for a different product. At the time, Actiondesk (we didn't change the name) was an automation software letting businesses extract data, transform it and transfer it to another software.

- The data is always up to date. Actiondesk connects to your database and other data sources and updates the data every hour.
π₯ Why we're working on this
In my previous job, we had tons of dashboards created by a centralized BI team.
It was fine, but sometimes, these dashboards are not exactly what we needed.
- Maybe they didn't consider a specific edge case of our specific team
- Maybe they didn't plan on a specific filter we wanted to do
- etc
Asking them to make the changes would be too slow as they already have too much work (we were a +1,000 employees company)
As a result, we defaulted to creating our own reports on Excel. The problem was that the data was never up to date. We had to export data from our systems every time we wanted fresh data in our Excel reports.
I wished I had something that's as easy and flexible as Excel and that would connect directly to our databases and SaaS tools.
That's exactly what we're building with Actiondesk.

@francoolaami Hi, Amplitude will typically only work with usage data (events triggered by your app). Actiondesk connects to databases, data warehouses, CRMs and so on.
Furthermore, Amplitude doesn't work like a spreadsheet. You need to learn how to use Amplitude whereas Actiondesk works very similarly to Google Sheets or Excel.
