Is this the first product built for YouTube creators by Adobe?
Johannes Eckert ☀
@rrhoover yes, we believe that. The Rush workflow is geared towards quick content creating at high quality — and first class direct share on youtube.

Not like it matters but 686MB is a pretty hefty binary size!
Johannes Eckert ☀
@chrismessina that’s what you get from combining lots of awesome technologies from Premiere and Audition. Unfortunately, at this size, iOS required WiFi to install the app

Really dig the effort on this. It's something I would've loved a year ago. However, it's trying to fill the gap, for me at least, for apps like Spark Camera. Spark is just easier and more intuitive to use, though not as robust.

As an Adobe CC member since Creative Cloud launched, I really enjoy what they're trying to do. It's like a mini FCPX. However, simple things like adding a fade on imported music should be available. Other apps at $2.99 USD can do it, but this monthly sub app lacks that ability - in the phone interface.

Now, once you bring that media over to the desktop it's a different story. But, if I want to share something captured, edited, then posted from my phone. It isn't good enough to convert me from other apps yet.

Pros:

- Robust interface

- CC Syncing is fantastic

Cons:

- Audio editing, specifically music, is lacking

- Not as intuitive as other options

Jakub
Hi Chase, thanks for the review. Glad you're loving the sync! You can do quite a bit with audio right now, we have: • auto-ducking and voice enhancing options brought straight form Audition • add a cross fade via transitions panel • support of up to 8 audio channels in a single clip; mute and reorder in audio panel • audio meter, mute, auto-volume You can import music from iTunes on iOS and just drag from desktop or media browser on Mac and Windows. Let us know other feedback.

@loukest how so? Not many full fledged mobile video editors out there.

Wow Adobe beat Apple, there will probably never be a Final Cut Pro on iPhone.

👋📱🎥 Hi Folks — we are excited to be on Product Hunt today! We built Rush for content creators who want to shoot, edit and share wherever they are. With Rush, all your video projects sync across all your devices—and you can make a complete edit on your phone if you want to. Rush was no small feast to build! We combined technologies from Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Audition into a new, easy to use interface. You can use Motion Graphic Templates right in Rush—or improve your audio with powerful audio editing tools, like Auto-Ducking to lower music when you are talking. All those technicalities aside, we think we are starting something great with Rush today. We want to hear from you and your feedback on uservoice to keep building a better version of Rush every day. We hope you give it a try — Rush has a free Starter Plan, and included in your Creative Cloud subscription if you have one already. let us know what you think. A lot of people from our team are here: @michaelhenry, @jakubburkot, @benjohnsmith, @erin_norton, @janet_mozaffari, @petergaraway and I would like to hear from you and answer your questions about Rush

@michaelhenry @jakubburkot @benjohnsmith @erin_norton @janet_mozaffari @petergaraway @joheckert Hey this is really awesome! Are you guys planning to implement any text tracking functionality or Augmented Reality tools in the coming months?
Johannes Eckert ☀
@vd_thatte we thought about it, it really boost the visual impact of your story. If you want to participate, head to user voice to suggest this feature: https://adobe-video.uservoice.co...

@michaelhenry @jakubburkot @benjohnsmith @erin_norton @janet_mozaffari @petergaraway @joheckert This looks incredible...finally Adobe is stepping their game up especially when it comes to empowering content creators/influencers, would love to connect with the team as we have a very well received product in the video space, but we lean toward a different usecase/demo of media creation but have a small but growing userbase that wants custom options around robust video creation and I think this would be an interesting fit. here's my email: info@sheriffv.com - let's talk!

@michaelhenry @jakubburkot @benjohnsmith @erin_norton @janet_mozaffari @petergaraway @joheckert Thank you, have just used and found it great, very intuitive, appreciate it. Quick question - If I take Adobe stock subscription, can I use "Any" asset from there into Rush or are there any limitations? Thank you again, keep it up.

@joheckert Can you edit portrait videos?

I just tried it. I didn't try to do a video but did the tutorial inside. - The interface follows the code from the new Lightroom design. Big + - It makes videos really quick to do and share. - The functionalities of the share panel are not equal to the ones natively. But I guess the big players want to keep their edge with the content creators. - Native share to Béhance, Facebook, YouTube. - No native share for Instagram. Instagram thinks it's that special, it's not Adobe's fault! - No native sharing option for Viméo and Dailymotion. Very sad! - It is very more capable than Adobe Spark. - As a newbie, I would not miss a lot of the full products line, if I would use the only Rush. - Oh and I forgot! It's 10 US$ / month to use! If you want to use the multi-share... - But the Windows App was very buggy this morning. Big - If they are capable to make it smoother, I would adopt it right away!
Johannes Eckert ☀
@emmanuel_b_lepage this is a great review. We will be adding more sharing destinations in the future—especially the ones that have APIs. Instagram is always a bit special, but luckily on iPhone we can hand over the rendered video to the Instagram app and you can share in stories or to your feed. Head over to UserVoice if you want to put your feedback into the record. https://adobe-video.uservoice.co...

When will we get this for Android?
Jakub
@erickbarron86 We're working on it. Rush Android will be available in 2019.
Raphaël Chabaud
@erickbarron86 @jakubburkot Most people are on Android nowadays, why building on ios first ? This is a US or designer bias...
Jakub
@erickbarron86 @raphchabaud We hear you, we couldn't do it all for 1.0, but I can assure you that a ton of work on Android has been done already.

It's a great idea for the product but the bugs are killing it. I spent an evening playing with a toy project. The app was crashing each couple of minutes but it was survivable as the startup time was decently fast on iPad Pro. Then, exporting the video was a very frustating experience. Imagine waiting only to realize the app has crashed - over and over. It took a dozen restarts and few hours until the process finished for me. I was about to purchase the subscription but then decided to not do so. It seems many users are facing similar problems, which is a shame considering how heterogenous iOS environment is (at least in comparison to Android). Is the product still actually being supported and developed?

This is a killer App to edit and publish video on the go! It has some cool ready made titles and color grading.
Will Stew
Is this publishing to TikTok supported from both the mobile apps as well as on desktop?

Going to try that as a soft step into AE and Premier
Michael Henry
@vladkorobov it's the perfect "soft step". All Rush Projects can be converted to Premiere Pro Projects with one click, so once you feel you're ready to make the jump all of your past work will be there waiting.
Patricio Llorens
?makers why choosing subscription model?. Users don't like it at all, is not well seen and makes your product unpopular over time. I love Adobe products, but I found odd a phone app subscription of $10

If you already use other Adobe software, the learning curve of Adobe Premiere Rush is really easy and quick to learn.
