Aero — Grow leafy greens at home without the mess involved

Aero is an expertly designed, state of the art, vertical garden transformed into a gorgeous appliance. The system utilizes an agricultural technique called “aeroponics”, which is the process of growing plants suspended in the air without the use of soil. Think of farming, but without the mess involved with it!

I like the simplicity of the design, thanks for hunting @imsku. How is it powered and how much energy does it use? @imsku
Pat Iamsakul
@abadesi Thanks for the compliment! The unit is powered by a 3-pin power cord and uses approximately 250 watts.

Specs list? How exactly does it work? Capacity? Power consumption? Are those 3 steps drawings for real? Don't most plants need the soil nutrients to grow? Will you provide the liquid nutrients? The actual website doesn't seem to use the word Aeroponics anywhere, but it talks about ultrasonic technology, but it doesn't go in depth to explain what it does exactly. Is this product ready? or is this like a kickstater thing?

@tostartafire Hi Dan, thanks for your questions! We're planning to launch the product in early 2019 as we're experimenting with the current prototype to make sure it works perfectly. There's a video right under the website button which visually shows what the system looks like and how the mist is distributed. Here are the specs: 2 ft. x 2 ft. x 2 ft. (W x L x H) Approx. 250 watt Carrara marble Brushed, gold-anodized aluminum components Grow lights (red: 625-660 nm, blue: 450-465 nm) Ultrasonic water atomizer Fans Once we launch the product, we will be offering nutrient mixes that will have varying macro and micronutrients to cater to different plant species and life cycles. So you will have the option to purchase those or make your own mix at home. We gradually update the website so stay tuned for more updates! I hope this addresses your questions and if anything is unclear I'd be more than happy to answer more.

When will it be ready and what’s the price? Tough to shell out $300 for a preorder when the site is so light on info.

@steadicat Hi Stefano, thanks for the comment! We're planning to begin selling the product in early 2019 and the retail price will be $599. The website is updated on a weekly basis so check in again later to see more!

Takes up a lot of counter space.

@joshuapinter Thanks for the comment Joshua! The system is 2 ft. x 2 ft. x 2 ft. (W x L x H). The rationale behind the size was because it will provide plenty of room for plants to be grown.
