Hello fellow hunters 👋 Malte here, I’m the co-founder and CEO at airfocus, a product management platform for PMs to call home. It’s been a while since we launched something on PH, but with this feature, I knew we had to. 🏎️ I’ve personally been using ChatGPT and NotionAI a lot - which is quite great btw - to help me get to first drafts (I’m very involved on the product marketing side), but I'm either not creative enough to come up with better prompts or these tools become unoriginal too quickly, especially when the product context is missing. This made me think it was time for a dedicated generative AI app for product managers. Luckily, I have a great team by my side to make it happen. With AI Assist we want product managers to be able to get to a PRD, problem statement, or new product idea with just a slash command. You can use it to analyze feedback sentiment, simplify complicated technical jargon, or just write faster. We wanted it to be easy, and we wanted it to be right where you work every day. For this, we built a few PM-specific prompts that we found actually produce useful results. What started out as a “quick, three-day side project” (yes, rarely works, I know) ended up taking a month. It was worth it. We got to run it by experienced PMs, properly integrate it into our UI and decide on an original icon (I mean, who doesn’t like a 🪄 ?). 😜 And yes, it's built on OpenAI. 😉 Most of all, though, we want it to be helpful to the product management community. That’s why we’re really, really excited to launch it here first to collect feedback and improve it further. Ultimately, we want you to be able to build better products. @maltissimo11 I believe that those features will make my work a lot more efficient. If I want to write a description, I do not want to spend a lot of time thinking about how to formulate it in the "best" way. Therefore, something like "Improve writing" is really helpful to make it easier to understand for my team.

Congrats on the launch 🎉 🎊 🥳 I'm super excited to see how AI Assist can help with product management. Could you tell us a bit more about the use cases you had in mind? I'm especially curious about how it can help simplify complex technical jargon and make it easier to write product specs. I'm sure this new tool will be a great addition to the product management arsenal 🤖 🤓 💪. Can't wait to see what else you come up with in the future!

@paolo_degiglio I was waiting for you here. ;) There's two basic use cases: getting started and editing. For both we built PM specific prompts. You could get started with a PRD or a problem statement for example based on a couple of simple inputs. On the editing side we offer toning it down to non-tech people or extracting sentiment from customer feedback. Overall, it obviously still needs a PM to drive it, we believe though that it makes them much more efficient. Especially when the information in the context is right there in the PM tool (airfocus in this case). Does this answer the question for you?

It's just very cool the airfocus team built this in such a short amount of time. I personally think it can be a huge time save for PMs. It's also just VERY fun to play with AI right where product work is done.

It's absolutely amazing that Product Managers get an AI tool that is made FOR THEM, on a platform that is BUILT FOR product management! Imagine the time you will save without jumping from one place to another! Having an AI assistant helping you with your thoughts, ideas, summaries, analyzing feedback sentiment... you will have a helper right there with you while you do stellar product work! Plus you can try it for free!

@maltissimo11 In terms of design looks really good. Now I will give it a try, I'm an Engineering Manager and I will check with our PMs to give it a try, and let's see if is useful in our daily work. Then, I will write a full review on AIProductHub.com

@maltissimo11 On many things, but mostly on summarising text, generating ideas for UX copy writing, and as I'm using airfocus for my research management and insights but also writing stories and items for my design team I can't wait to see how improved my workflow will be :)

This is a perfect example of how best to leverage the most advanced tools and functionalities to ease repetitive processes. airfocus already integrates with the most important product and project management softwares, and its now taking this one step further.
