@gregrog @sentry_co At this stage of AI development, a solution that can be customized seems more appropriate than trying to create something that fits everyone. This obviously draws a certain barrier of knowledge or skills necessary to design (often simple) integrations.
So, for now, Alice is created in the form of a kind of "blank slate" on which you can draw whatever you want 🙂
@gregrog @overment I see your point. Altho. What about this: You make an An AI that can work with Alice and design the flows for you. So you describe it and it tries to line up the flows. It just felt a bit overwhelming in the videos. But maybe my impression is wrong. Maybe just make the videos for simpler cases and then the viewer is easier sold and can tinker them selfs. I guess you are right tho. We are in the "Tinker AI era" We are not in the "everything just works from a single command AI era" yet
@overment @sentry_co maybe that's overwhelming for a start, but in fact this can be easily accomplished by anyone, even non technical person. The fact that you can tweak it is on this stage an advantage, because literally you can do whatever you want with it.
Realistically, there's absolutely no way you tell AI do come up with flows like this nowadays and that's just a simple hack for making it really useful.
Going through a basic playlist will get you there in one hour. And I guarantee once you learn how this works you'll be like a kid in Disneyworld! 🎢

As the designer responsible for Alice's UI, my aim was to craft an interface that's not just beautiful with its modern design but also simple for anyone to use. I focused on making sure you could navigate through it smoothly, find what you need without any hassle, and complete your tasks quickly. My biggest hope is that Alice becomes more than just another app; I want it to be a reliable helper you turn to every day for support, making your daily routine easier and more efficient. @alex_dulub Thanks for the comment! Currently the integration with apps is handled via API and webhooks. You create simple automations that are remote actions in Alice. At this stage of Alice and AI it's just the best concept that gives you real results. This way we can easily work with our software and so do our teams and Alice early users.
In future, we will introduce more native integrations, so that the experience is even more serious and probably this will be the most challenging or rather time consuming part.

As Greg wrote, currently Alice is primarily a flexible interface. You can connect to it, for example, with the help of the make.com platform, where you can easily create integrations that you will connect with Alice.

As you can guess, creating integrations for many applications and moreover, ones that will be tailored to each of the users is too complex but also imposes unnecessary limitations. In the case of Alice, there are no such limitations, and you can tailor everything to your needs.
@steventhemaker not entirely! You won't be locked out of the app. You can use the version you have forever! It's rather our guaranteed support. If things go well and we have the resources we want to release every major version once a year, so it's similar to other desktop software I suppose. If you want to upgrade to v3, you will get the reduced price offer, if not, you can safely stay with the previous one!
Big congrats on the launch, as an early adopter I got to see the progress you all made day by day and it's been amazing to watch! I can't wait to see what else Alice can do for my workflow 🙌

Wow, what use cases do you see with the Stripe integrations? Stripe has so many options and is so confusing this could be a game-changer for me lol!
@iamjasonlevin one of them is our checkout, which you can find under the purchase button (I'm not asking you to buy the app right now, but take a look at what we have underneath. That's our second product, powered by Stripe btw). At some point, Alice can integrate with it, including additional tools that make up the ecosystem we are developing, easy.tools.
@iamjasonlevin I have a few integrations with Stripe on Alice, mostly for reporting. For example I can ask what was yesterdays sales. Also I can generate invoices and quick links to checkout with Alice!
For those of us who pay for ChatGPT+ (yay, GPT access!), can we use this subscription with Alice, or is Alice only able to leverage ChatGPT v4 via (paid) API or the Alice monthly credits option?
@thatadamguy you don't need ChatGPT subscription nor it's useful for Alice. You plug in your API Key from OpenAI, or use or Credits plan to chat with Alice. Usually it's much cheaper than Chat, but depends on the usage and models!

Alice has a great potential. Even in alpha / early beta, it significantly elevates the way I use LLM / AI. It is much more then yet another GUI for ChatGPT.
@pzubkiewicz thanks! We have big plans for this project. I'm closely watching how AI develops and the tools available on the market. It will surely have an impact on Alice.

This is definitely a tool I can recommend, though it requires lots of knowledge and perhaps most importantly, awareness from the user about their goals and things they want to improve by using AI.
And this is a hard sell, my friends.
does the lifetime deal come with Make blueprints and scenarios as seen in the youtube tutorials? also, do you have a public roadmap? :)
@jjmanno thanks for asking! All we put on website is free, we also have an extensive library of knowledge on techsistence.com and on YouTube. We're thinking, however, about launching a cohort for AI and automation. We have so much to share!
Don't have public roadmap just yet, it's a great idea. I'm sharing what we have internally as some possible future features, but it's not sure just yet:

It's all good on our side, you've sent the screenshot where you put email starting with capital letter, and in the order it starts with small letter so it probably caused that, if you can try again, let us know :)
I'm super impressed with what I see here. It's so great to see someone leveraging LLMs on the desktop to interact with the apps we use every day and tightly integrate common LLM tasks into keyboard shortcuts. Does the lifetime deal include lifetime access to the models too?
@carterparks thanks for the reply! No, the models actually are via your API keys or our AI Credits plan. But good news is there are also offline and open source models that you'd be able to use with Alice, for example you can connect Ollama and this will be free :)

I've been using Alice beta for some time now and I'm a big fan of this app. Very clever idea of combining the power of automation with the growing potential of LLMs. Greg and Adam are real innovators; they've changed the way I work and think about my productivity. You should definitely check this app!
@yochevedb thank you! Not in the near future - we focus on productivity and this happens on desktop, but a companion mobile app seems like a good idea too!
I highly recommend watching the trailers Greg and Adam have shared on their social media profiles. Watching them will give you a better understanding and appreciation of the unique qualities, heart and work that has gone into creation of Alice.

It's alive for the rest of the Universe!
I have been a part of closed beta access and I am a big fan of Alice .
There are 3 main reasons I like it personally:
- you can speak with Apple Dictation or even embedded transcribe to it, no hands needed
- you can configure all your API keys to the most important LLM's and prompt them from single location as well keeping your prompt templates as snippets
- you can trigger actions in other automation systems and apps via webhook (e.g. Make.com / Home Assistant Webhook / Qlik Automation etc.pp.) and this place is still heavily under-experimented by me yet and possibilities are endless once it's such an open app
What I would love to see from creators:
- that it launches as well as iOS App and small Apple Watch app one day :)
The main challenge here is to quit your habbits and get extended with AI assistants! That's the hardest part, because app is already here!
Kudos to Adam and Grzegorz for achieving that milestone!
