Hello Product Hunt! I'm Ray, Co-founder and CEO of Allo. We've been so blessed by the support we've seen from the community here in past launches and I am excited to share what we've been working on with you. When you're working together in an office, physical presence often provides a lot of the connective tissue for the team. You can learn about your coworkers by seeing how they decorate their desk, or listening to what they talk about at lunch. You can gauge the general tone of the company by looking around the office and seeing what people are working on, see who's available and who's on break or vacation by counting empty seats. If you have a question or need help with something, you may not know the exact person you should talk to, but you probably know what part of the office they work in, so you can walk over there and find someone to make an introduction. In a hybrid or remote workplace, none of that holds true anymore. There's no real passive way to get to know the company, your team, what's going on, and how things are doing. Every interaction when you're working remotely is active—unless you go out of your way to check in with people, it doesn't happen. As a result, it's hard to form tight bonds with your colleagues or interact with them at all in a way that doesn't focus on a specific project or goal. What kills me the most about this is that it's often a hidden problem because it affects different workers differently. If you are a manager or someone who's very senior in your career or at a company, you probably have a good handle on what you should be doing and who you need to talk to, and you probably find it easy to keep your finger on the pulse of the company. But if you're a more junior employee, someone who's new to the team, or someone who's coming to the work from a different background than the rest of your coworkers, these things can be very opaque to you as a remote worker. Even if you're highly skilled, you may not get the mentorship or collaboration on a remote team that you need to succeed. So this lack of connective tissue isn't just bad for morale and productivity. It's also fundamentally unfair. With the new Allo, we're trying to recreate some of this real-world connective tissue digitally by giving teams spaces to align on goals, track progress, map relationships, and incentivize mentorship and collaborations. Allo consists of five main features: 🏆 Canvas Our previous whiteboarding tool for real-time, multimedia collaboration. Canvas makes it really easy to share information, brainstorm and solicit feedback from your team in meetings, and it becomes the single source of truth for everything that happens in a meeting. Most things in Allo are also Canvases, so you can organize your goals, tasks in the same place as the collaboration that goes into working on them. 📈 OKRs harness the flexible and powerful Objective and Key Results (OKR) framework originally created by Google to help teams define goals and track progress to keep everyone moving forward together. Allo OKR makes goal setting painless for managers and takes the uncertainty out of understanding how your individual work maps to collective team success. 💻 People Allo People provides a way for the team to learn about each other and recognize the things that make their coworkers unique. People pages provide a place for team members to highlight their interests and give updates on their lives and the things they’re working on. Allo People is also updated automatically using data from other parts of Allo—showing who people most commonly work with, what Initiatives and KRs they’re contributing to and responsible for, and statistics about their working style and morale. Users can also earn customizable achievements for things such as interacting with other teams or making edits in Canvases, giving organizations a way to incentivize behaviors that contribute to success and recognize excellence for diverse contributions. 💸 Posts are a space in Allo for announcements and asynchronous conversations that aren’t centered on a specific Canvas. Similar to a social media news feed, they're a great place for team members to share updates and questions about what they’re working on, and for their coworkers to provide answers and celebrate wins. 😸 Dashboard is the single source of truth for projects and collaboration happening in Allo. Allo Dashboard collects data from all the other parts of Allo and presents it in an easy-to-digest format. From progress on OKRs to staff happenings to leaderboards and recent achievements, it helps the team stay abreast of what’s happening and celebrate wins together. It is truly something to behold, and we invite you to try it out. Thank you, hunters for your continued support of our app, for the next 72 hours try Allo on us for three months, using this link: https://allo.io/registration?cod... Best tools in one single box! I have been using Allo for some time and it is a great & easy-to-use whiteboard tool itself. I have been majorly using it to draw flowcharts, brainstorm ideas, do some initial research & scrapping info and share them with my team. Now Allo is expanding to OKR and collaboration and I'm pretty excited to see what values this will additionally bring to my team on top of some of the core features we are using. Great work team!! 😁👏

Awesome updates from the previous version!! Question: Do you think that perhaps having so many tools on the platform will make it easier or harder for teams to adopt Allo? Rather, are more people willing to dive into it because it reduces the amount of different tools they're currently using?
Edward Park
@sunwoolee hey Sunwoo, thanks for your comment! Your feedback's always welcomed and much appreciated. To respond, it really depends. Some users want simplified all-in-one type of tools and the others prefer vertical softwares. :) Either way you choose, there are pros and cons.
Ray Hong
@sunwoolee We're also working on developing third-party integrations! It will make your team adopt Allo without changing the workflow and tools.
