Use AI for your investment watchlist – Alpha actively monitors every stock, ETF, and crypto you care about. Giving instant, AI-powered insights on why prices are moving and sharing real-time market events, earnings calls, and more.
Congrats on the launch, @michael_thomas2713.
How do you handle real-time market events compared to other apps?
Do you rely on specifci data sources / APIs or also on sentiment on Twitter? Curious.
Thanks @ashitvora - Alpha leverages the entirety of Public.com's insights suite of both 3rd party and proprietary datasets / APIs. We then supplement all that data with a number of realtime agentic pipelines.
Was always wondering why AI in fintech for retail investors is yet an unexplored space. This nails it, right on point. Really impressed and looking forward to what lies head for Alpha, I really hope you become the Alpha of this space. @jaketref@leifthunder@leifthunder

First off, if you operate in a regulated space and deal with people's money you have to do things proper and that needs time and effort. Hallucinations essentially should never appear and that's a tall order with AI at this stage.
We for example have connected GPT to our own data sources and use the actual GPT model/data only as a fall-back. This has brought wrong answers waaaaaay down because we rely mostly on structured data, not scraping website.
Alpha has also been live for a year and a half within the Public app already, so we had a lot of time to fine-tune things as well.
@jaketref@leifthunder I guess a better way to look at it would be to have a mix of AI as well as human wealth managers - idk but I am not fully sure when I will trust my money completely with AI
@leifthunder@balaji_rao1 Similar to copilots in coding, our philosophy is that AI at this stage is best positioned to 10x your self-directed investing workflow rather than act fully autonomously, this is something we've seen work consistently with Alpha within the Public app and want to double down on with this product.
Congrats! This is a very interesting product - I really love the idea. It would be even better if the product could support adding some index funds, as they make up a significant part of my current portfolio.
