Kindle Scribe is perfect for reading and writing, even in direct sunlight. The large display gives you room to take notes and journal, and makes it easy to adjust font size and margin width for improved reading comfort.
@chrismessina I‘ve considered getting reMarkable, mainly for drawing, sketching, wireframing, … that kind of stuff. But it’s crazy expensive for what it does. 370 € for the Kindle Scribe sounds like a much more reasonable deal to me (and I expect that price to, hopefully, fall in the future, at which point I’ll seriously consider it).
↑ … is what I was going to write, but before hitting post, I revisited reMarkable’s websites and discovered that they’ve lowered the price to 430 € (tablet + basic pen). I remember it used to be around 600 €+ which seemed absurd to me.
Personally, I’ll wait some months until there are numerous in-depth comparisons and then I’ll choose. 😄 I already use a Kindle Paperwhite for reading and love it.
@chrismessina Woah, yeah... They've been rolling out a real aggressive marketing plan (internationally) these last couple of months, and I guess I see why now, they probably got wind of this and figured this is their do or die moment. I hope they'll find an audience that allows them to keep their business running sustainably.
Oh wow, that's pretty cool. For all the times that i have felt the need to take notes in Kindle and have gotten frustrated with the poor typing experience.
