Very excited to finally see Amie out in the open! ✨
As someone who uses his calendar as his primary todo list, this app ticks so many boxes for me (pun very much intended). Many, many other exciting features too that I've been wanting to see in a calendar app for years (especially better multiplayer/team calendar features).
Congratulations! Looks amazing! I have always been trying to find the calendar that works for me, and have never found something that does it all. Cant wait for the beta/launch!!!
I've yet to use – am on the waitlist – but this looks like one hell of a product. From what I can see, Amie has managed to bake in more functionality than any other startup in this slightly noisy space. Can't wait to try.
@jsnbrsc thanks jason! you'll use it super soon :)
we've probably build too many features for our stages, but we'll remove the ones that don't stick. :)
good thing is we have found a great stride in improving the product, so expect lots every week :)
Everyone must check their website its very unique design with never seen twitter integration! I can see how much of thoughts and efforts been put behind that. If I stop thinking about the great design and interface after honeymoon period is over, I start to think about things missing like date parser, subtask, attachment etc...Congratulation for thinking out of the box and Good Luck
Regarding your Spotify integration which looks very interesting I like the tools which does the job on its own. So Any plan for adding more of this integration where I can see how my day is spent on personal level as well like Music/Youtube/Netlfix etc and see some kind of analysis at the end of the week or month related to that.
Amie is what's next!
Been waiting on Twitter for sooo long.
This is how software/apps will "feel" in the future... Everything needs like 10x the love and attention to be special. I think Amie will be very special.
.
Good software gives you super powers and I think Amie does just that.
.
Cheers guys! 🥂
Congrats on the launch @muellaire! I've actually been seeing you all over Twitter and loved the design so signed up for the demo early on! Can't wait to see it in action.
I currently use SavvyCal and Fantastical 3.0 - any insight on how Amie compares?
Cheers!
@gabe thanks gabe, LOVE genies too :)
first and foremost, we have huge respect for all teams+products in the space. and savvycal + fantastical are two of the greats.
savvycal is definitely richer in features regarding slot booking. what we have though is a feature to allow you to share specific slots. so eg. only allow them to book tuesday 2-4pm and wednesday 3-5pm. creating this link in Amie takes <7s. :)
and fantastical: i think we've integrated everything seamlessly into one product which they have across 2 products (with cardhop). we have a web version. i think fantastical only supports iCloud right? we're built with a gcal integration (making it more suitable for companies+teams).
overall we've built Amie a lot around your colleagues. people play the most important role in your life. and your calendar should reflect that.
on the other hand fantastical is obv super rich in features and well done :)
@muellaire beautiful answer - stoked for this now!
Thank you for taking the time to break it all down and really appreciate your positive approach to highlighting the differences and features. Making me loyal to Amie already, can’t wait!
Many many congratulations to you @muellaire on launching Amie. It looks so so incredible and you all fully deserve all the plaudits coming your way.
The launch video in particular was yet another reminder that you and the team are truly craftspeople. It’s how a product launch should be done.
The landing page sets a new bar for design. I don’t think I’ve seen one quite like that in a while. The interactions, the copy, the broader message - it’s so on-point. So much care has gone into it and it's so great to see!
I haven’t even tried it out yet, and yet I feel like paying you for it.
I feel like i've signed up for Amie atleast 5 times 😅, super super excited to use it 🙌
@therishabhsethi thanks so much for the very kind words rishabh :) i am happy you like the video. i was indeed nervous and thought that people may perceive it as "too much"
messages like yours really make our day.
@muellaire 😊🙏🏼
I suppose there will always be voices that say “it’s just a to-do app” but listening to those would be to do an injustice to your original intent: helping people build positive habits.
Cheering for you 💯
needless to say, but this will change the game - amie is refreshing in a world where we sacrifice everything for speed and get boring products in return
