As a patient, Anima is your health advocate: tell Anima what the problem is through the web and mobile app, anywhere anytime, and let Anima take the initial medical history: it always asks the right questions specific to your presentation, screens for key negatives & red flags, and makes it very easy for a provider to action your case. It presents all of this information concisely for the provider in a dashboard so that serious signs simply cannot be missed or ignored. Conversely, if it's a simple problem and neither you nor the provider has concerns, the provider can resolve your case and fill a prescription without an appointment: a grand total of 2-6 minutes of time investment on your part, and no waiting! For providers, Anima is your force multiplier and your superhuman, digital resident doctor: Anima performs gold standard, contextual clinical consultations, like the best human doctors and then presents the cases concisely in a web app dashboard, complete with recommendations, historical trends and headline risk scores ready for provider teams to action remotely and asynchronously. This allows all patients to get the right care, superfast. Instead of reading through hundreds of PDF pages of e-consultations, or hours of tele-triage, providers can use our concise reports to sign-off and resolve requests right away where it is safe and convenient to do so, or escalate serious problems immediately for an appointment, scan or other intervention. This is much faster in *all* scenarios than first having to wait and then attend the appointment (whether in-person or telemedicine) to find out whether the problem is serious or not. Millions of people every year with serious problems or chronic disease flareups die because of this delay. Anima then follows up with patients autonomously, continuously risk-triaging them, until their problem is fully resolved or indefinitely for chronic diseases. We’re already helping our partner practices in the UK speedup their workflow, and for our beta product we found that the median speedup was from 12 min -> 1-2 min (a 5-10x improvement). Having direct, full stack experience of healthcare in the UK and US (frontline, regional commissioning, national policy), we understand what a monumental challenge this is, especially given that incentives do not always align well in activity-based revenue models.
