I guess they decided that since they unveiled this at f8 2014, and f8 2015 is soon, they should release it…fantastic idea though.

Does anyone else feel bad for Open ID and Mozilla's Persona team? I know this isn't the same thing exactly, and I'm not sure how much steam Open ID and Persona could actually gather, but this will make it just a little bit harder for other Auth systems to exist.
