@dimitrie_baitanciuc "months to days" is generally what we've seen!
Mang-Git Ng
@dimitrie_baitanciuc If you have a project in mind, happy to spend some time solutioning with you. I always love hearing about new use cases for Anvil.
Congrats on the launch @manggit 🚀 Your explainer video is so fun! ❤️ Anvil seems really great. I know a tech founder who's building a form-heavy startup. Gonna tell him about Anvil now. Congrats again!
Mang-Git Ng
@jgani haha yeah we loved making that video. Thanks for watching and hopefully we connect with your founder friend.
Ben Ogle
@jgani Thanks Jonni for the shoutout on the video and for offering to reach out to your friend!
Schaeffer Arnold
@jgani the explainer video scripting process was a treat - hope it made you laugh!

Hey ! Looks amazing ! Could you please let me know if the esignature feature is compliant with EIDAS (Europe certification)? If you answer is "yes", count me in asap ! ;)
Ben Ogle
@christophe_h Hey Christophe, CTO here. Yes! Our signatures are EIDAS "advanced" compliant. Let us know if you have any other questions

PDFs are so frustrating to work with but it's often a format people expect or require. Love that this makes it easy to fill PDFs with a webform (and API....)
Mang-Git Ng
@stash_new dont we know it! Getting PDF*ed is a real thing. At an old job, everytime a PDF was updated, I would have to spend a day hand coding the changes into our system. It was the worst.
Sean Thomas
Hey @manggit Congrats on the launch of Anvil. This looks really great - we know first hand the difficulties of developing software for document workflows/management. Does Anvil work with 'flat' PDF's, or is it just structured/formatted forms?
Mang-Git Ng
@sean_t94 Hi Sean, yes, we had no idea how complex paperwork processes can get when we started Anvil. Fortunately I think we did a really good job of breaking down the problem into a solution that can pretty much work for any document-driven process. To answer you specific question, Anvil works with both flat and structured forms. We take any PDF, and do the following 1. If its a structured fillable form, we extract the field locations 2. give you a UI to add/identify new field locations 3. Provide you with all of the tooling to build on top of the PDF template, whether it is filling it over API, requesting an e-sig or using our worklfows tool to gather data and complete the PDF.
Mang-Git Ng
@sean_t94 oh also, we are building AI features to help auto-identify fields on flat (image) PDFs, and then tag the fields with the most appropriate label. Stay tuned!
Sean Thomas
@manggit thanks for taking time to respond. This is really impressive stuff. The AI features for flat PDFs is very interesting indeed! I'll be following Anvil so I can give it a try when the AI feature is in.
Mang-Git Ng
@sean_t94 would love to stay in touch. I'm sure we will make an announcement in our monthly product update, so make sure to subscribe! 😁

I used to work at a fintech and managing our KYC workflow was a major pain point for our entire product team. It's crazy thinking of all the hours and effort we could have saved ourselves if we had been using Anvil instead of trying to handle it all on our own. When we build user consent forms into fforward we're not going to make the same mistake again. Thanks for building Anvil and congrats to the whole team on the launch.
Schaeffer Arnold
@maxcameron No need to reinvent the wheel, right? Thanks for sharing that story.
Mang-Git Ng
@maxcameron I don't know any engineer that likes to manually build webforms for PDFs. Anvil helps free up that time for them to work on more interesting projects. KYC, onboarding, statement generation are all super common use cases that we encounter regularly. Looking forward to working with the fforward team.
Ashley Hyman
Love the innovation. The Anvil team is the best!
Mang-Git Ng
@ashley_hyman1 ❤️ we love working with the Drata team to make sure we are secure and compliant. Super important when we work with a bunch of financial institutions.
Ben Ogle
@ashley_hyman1 Thanks so much Ashley!

Hey
Ben Ogle
Nikita Obukhov
Hey there, congrats on your launch (love the video btw) If you feel like discovering an inline course builder that will allow you to share your expertise (and you must have a lot of things to share with the world), come check out Tilda's launch :)
Schaeffer Arnold
@obukhov_nikita Thanks Nikita - it was fun to create! Congrats on your team's launch, too!
Ayan Bandyopadhyay
@manggit This solves a really important pain point. How do you differentiate from other document workflow products?
Mang-Git Ng
@ayan_bandyopadhyay Hey Ayan great question! I would say Anvil differentiates on a couple of dimensions. 1. Anvil brings together a bunch of related solutions into a cohesive package. Instead of connecting a form builder with a document generation system with an e-sign solution. Anvil's provides all three and they work together really well. 2. I find most solutions are either developer friendly but complex, or easy to use but simple. Anvil balances the two, no-code when you want to build quickly and enable a non-technical team, and robust API's and webhooks for when you want that deep integration. 3. Anvil just works :)
Sophie Benjamin
@manggit @ayan_bandyopadhyay I also want to add that because Anvil is purpose built for creating user friendly web-based (and device agnostic) experiences for documents, we have a lot of features that make interacting with or building for really complicated PDFs almost delightful. Handling tables in PDFs is a good example of something that Anvil does really elegantly but other products miss the mark on or don't handle at all.
Colin Taggart
Congrats on the launch! Product looks awesome! We deal with pdf-based health forms all the time, and it’s super frustrating, messy and time consuming, something like Anvil could be a game changer for us.
Schaeffer Arnold
@colin_taggart Thanks! Totally hear you on the messiness and time consumption.
Ben Ogle
@colin_taggart Thanks! You're doing god's work with health forms, they are the worst. Every time I go to the doctor, they make me manually fill out forms (with a pen) with information they already have
Vasily Kolosov
Congratulations on the launch, the Anvil Document SDK sounds like a much-needed solution! How does it handle more complex document processes that require conditional logic or integration with other systems and databases?
Sophie Benjamin
@vasily_kolosov1 great question. If you want Anvil to handle the complex logic, our Workflow tool (all-in-one webforms, pdf filling, and e-signatures) has UI for encoding logic at multiple levels and supports custom javascript. These Workflows can easily push/pull data from other systems over API or using a tool like Zapier.
Ben Ogle
@vasily_kolosov1 Thanks Vasily! The product can handle very complex document processes with logic! We have a number of customers using Workflows to conditionally fill / sign 30-50 documents in one process. For example, First Ascent (case study) uses Workflows to conditionally open 10 different types of accounts in Schwab for their customers in one flow, Seso (case study) onboards agricultural workers and creates document packets with a mixture of government and local paperwork. On the integrations front, what systems were you interested in integrating with? All webform data, e-sign data, and documents is available via the API. Most of our customers integrate with Iframe events and webhooks, then handle the data piping to the systems they need. We also have a Zapier integration, so you can connect anything up to Anvil without code!
sridhar koneru
Congratulations. Can we pre-populate some values through integrations?
Ben Ogle
@sridhar_koneru Yes, definitely! You can populate data on webforms, e-signature packets, and fill docs via the API from your own system. We also have a Zapier integration, so you can connect anything up to Anvil without code
Schaeffer Arnold
@sridhar_koneru The unicorn barista is sold separately, though 😉
David Winer
Wow, this looks so useful! Is there a way to subscribe to events in the document flow, e.g. webhooks?
Ben Ogle
@david_winer Thanks David! Yep, we support webhooks, see the docs here! Let us know if you have any more questions
Fed
Congratulations!! definitely great for key market/ops issues (scale, workflow)
Schaeffer Arnold
@fed3 We think so too. Thanks!
Mang-Git Ng
@fed3 so true, a lot of Ops related work is just moving data around to various forms (both PDF and online)!
Amy Foster
Looks like an awesome product, I'd love to not have to deal with PDFs!!! What are Anvil's compliance policies? Specifically for financial customers?
Mang-Git Ng
@amy_foster we have been SOCII Type 2 compliant for 4 years running! We also go to great lengths to ensure that security best practices are followed. Some of our best customers are financial institutions from alternative investments to banks and even title companies.
Veronica Bucher
congratulations on the launch! can't wait to tackle those pesky PDFs without the usual headaches! 👏
Schaeffer Arnold
@veronica_bucher Thanks Veronica - we've got some Anvil, err, Advil, for those headaches!
Nikolai Stosch
Great team, great problem space to tackle 👍
Mang-Git Ng
@nikolai_stosch every industry has paperwork! Thanks for the vote of confidence in the team.
Ben Ogle
@nikolai_stosch Thanks Nikolai!
Brett Hellman
Very cool. Congrats all!
Ben Ogle
@bretthellman Thanks Brett!
