Heya, @sharifulin! Love what you guys are doing here. I would probably suggest you to focus a bit more on "How the app works" part of it so that I don't have to figure it out by myself. I hope this helps. :-)
sounds like launchkit? any difference? btw is it really real time? ie do i get a notification the second my app changes rank or a review is posted? or the real time refers to the fact it s connected to slack?
@ourielohayon I'm a huge fan of Launchkit's products, but I find their other tools far more useful than their downloads and review notifications.
What AppFollow provides (and I'm not affiliated with them in any way, but have been using their services happily for the past month) are highly actionable insights into what your competitors are up to. You can easily track reviews, what's new notes & update schedules, keyword rankings etc.
@ourielohayon AppFollow is complex solution.
We track more app activities (not only reviews):
- reviews & ratings
- updated reviews and answers for Google Play
- new versions & updates
- ranks
- search positions (keywords)
- featuring & mentions (coming soon)
- sales (downloads & revenues - coming soon)
Also we support one or more countries & langs, any apps from App Store, Google Play and Windows Phone Store.
For example, you could create an app collection with your apps or competitors apps and track all activities by these apps via Slack or daily/weekly email.
We try to track in real time for premium account.
Finally, we have Slack bot @appfollowbot for discovery App Store & Google Play: checking ranks, suggestions, search positions, trending searches for any countries.
Definitely liking it so far. The two things that bother me right now are that I cannot ask the bot for my current ranking based on a given keyword and then based on a category. Correct me if I am wrong, but the former seems to be a daily notification based on results from the day before (no command exists for it), while the latter presents only the top 20 ranking via the category ranking command.
However, it still offers a lot more than what LaunchKit does. I'm adding it to slack and will be following its development closely.
P.S. I would be glad if you give us a bit more detailed explanation about how the ranking commands work and how to fine tune them.
@ygrancharov Thank you for your feedback. Could you share us examples? Pls send us email to support@appfollow.io . This is the first version of bot and we'll release new version soon.
I feel that more emphasis should be on the 'How it works' button on the homepage... there is nothing for a user to look at before you asking for an email address. I'd suggest making it easier and more visible/even showing how it works on the homepage.
You can find AppFollow on the Slack App Directory here
Thanks, Eric, for hunting us!
Hello Product Hunters,
I’m Anatoly, Co-Founder at AppFollow, along with @tahorg and @fxzuz. We're happy to launch AppFollow for Slack!
We develop tool that help mobile developers track app activities in appstores, including new reviews, ratings, ranks, search results & so on. We deliver this information through Slack, HipChat, Telegram (coming soon) and email. Developers can track any applications meaning they can keep an eye on their on apps and as well on their competitors. This can help them know their audience, gain new ideas and — at the end — stay on top of the competition.
Also our bot @appfollowbot can help developers stay updated on what is trending, top-charts & keywords suggestions for App Store and Google Play.
If you want to see more features or have any questions, we’d appreciate your feedback!
Thanks for checking us out!
Personally I like appfollow very much. Slack integration very cool as well. I hope Appfollow will grow and provide all features that we would like to see! It's real pain relief for competitors monitoring and more
Sounds useful. What's the difference with Sensor Tower for tracking competitors ranks / our app ranks for given keywords? Also, do you provide an API for tracking all that? That would be very cool!
@translatelab Thank you for your feedback. We have simple solution for keywords right now. You can track all search phrases for each app collections, find missing keywords & keywords of your competitors. Our goal is monitoring app activities via real time channels like Slack, Telegram or just email. We have API v1.0 for getting reviews & ratings. Could you send us email to support@appfollow.io what kind of API do you need?
