I've been an Asana user for quite some time, with my only complaints being aesthetic. I would love a native Mac app with Quick-add functionality a-la Things or Omnifocus. However, after downloading this one and experiencing several crashes in minutes, it seems the search is still on. Pass.
@johncschuster SoTasks is still on Soft launch process and we are improving everyday. We will be happy to check your case in order to solve any crash or another issues immediately.
@johncschuster Dear John, we have released the new version of SoTasks (v1.2) and your problem should be fixed with this update. Please let us know if everything is fine.
I would love you guys to create a mobile app following the same design aesthetics. I am a long time user of Asana, and also a long time hater of their UI/UX design nonsensical tantrums. This looks simple and great.
Thanks to your feedback and reports, SoTasks is constantly updated. SoTasks v1.2 is on store now.
- Resizable and redesigned left side panel
- Manual Sync button and syncing indicator added
- Sections in task list is more visible now
- Toolbar removed for less destruction
Many, many bug fixes, performance and stability improvements. We hope you’ll like this update, and check out all that’s new for yourself!
Let’s continue to make SoTasks better, together.
I'm one of the early testers of the application, and an early adapter, it still does have problems, due to the fact that it's still in soft launch but I can say that it's a great Mac App for Asana. I'd recommend anyone who is looking for an offline Mac App for Asana. The developers are working hard to solve every issue that comes up and adding new features.
