Gather your friends and play this online multiplayer game where players compete against each other to create the funniest AI-generated images in response to amusing prompts like: "The creature hidden in IKEA," or "A canceled children's toy."
Hey everyone!
As a first-time hunter, I am beyond excited to present Artificial Unintelligence as my first product for you all to enjoy! π
If you'd like to learn how to play, check out the how-to-play page here: https://www.artificialunintellig...
I've been a longtime fan of party games like the Jackbox Party Pack; there's rarely ever a get-together with my childhood friends without it. One game in particular, Quiplash, consumes us with the hilarity and inside jokes it creates.
While sitting in a Dairy Queen with my dad, receiving a brain freeze from my Blizzardβ’, the thought came to me: Jackbox + AI images!
Artificial Unintelligence is my way of paying back those countless hours of fun my friends and I have had laughing in the living rooms and basements of our parents' houses.
πΊοΈ What's the plan right now?
Launch and gain feedback. That's pretty much it. Right now I mainly just want to gauge interest and see if this idea gels with people. My primary goals are having fun and building a product that makes people laugh.
β The main question I have for you all is:
What would an acceptable pricing model look like for a product like this? I'm not sure right now if I would want to charge anything for the game; however, if it were to somehow grow and connect with people, I know it would be inevitable due to the cost of generating the images. What would you all be willing to pay? Initially, I thought of a "token" system where a player pays 1 token to play 1 game. The price of a token can vary; an acceptable price for a token in my mind is $1, thoughts?
Thank you so much and I hope you all enjoy playing and generating your images! πΎ

Congrats on the launch! Tested it out:
1. Image generation is very slow
2. The images generated are not that funny. Have to be very creative with our prompts
Thanks @shanewen for calling out the bug! I'm getting to work on it right now π€
And thanks for the feedback, it's much appreciated.
The images take approximately 14 seconds to generate at this time. I could look into cheeky ways to speed up the process, but if I am unable to expedite it, any suggestions on any UX improvements to make the experience feel faster or more entertaining?
And yes, at the moment I'm not providing any *guidance* with the image generations. What is provided by the user is what gets generated by the AI model (Stable Diffusion XL in this case). This is to follow how games like Quiplash from the Jackbox Party Pack work by leaving it up to the players themselves to determine what's funny and what to answer their prompts with. As you pointed out, this requires the players to be imaginative and creative with their prompts; however, I see this mainly as a positive. Though some players might struggle since they have never interacted with an AI image generator, so I added the help modal on the prompt screen as a guide for these types of players. Do you believe this is helpful enough? If not, what more should I do to assist players?
