Do you allow GDS access or is this simply an OTA with an additional kick back as commision? The reason I ask is that you're saying we get to be Travel Agents but from my experience there's a lot more travel agents do beyond booking a trip.
@scottloader Thanks Scott, we have fully integrated API’s from mayor bed banks, but don’t give access to a GDS (Global Distribution System). Working with a GDS is complicated and requires training. What we built instead is very intuitive, plug and play, because it has the same user interface as mayor OTA’s. Yet, it allows you to recommend and share trips with others and earn a commission. It enables you to tailor make a trip for somebody, based on their wishes and budget. In addition, you can set up your own travel booking website.

TRVL is turning people into travel agents the way Airbnb is turning people into hosts and Uber is turning people into drivers. The idea is really simple: when you’re booking a trip online, regular travel agents are nowhere to be found. This forces you to act as your own travel agent. If you’re doing the work, you’re also entitled to the commission. This could be as much as 10%.
Second, by empowering travelers to act as travel agents, TRVL will become the place to shop for personalized travel recommendations. But we are not there yet! This is what you can do with TRVL today:
• Book trips for yourself and the people you’re traveling with, and earn a commission
• Recommend, and share trips with others, and earn a commission when they make a booking
• Run your own customizable travel booking website and earn on every booking

@jochemwijnands I can see only hotels booking so far, or staying in a hotel is the only thing you do in a trip? :)
@mnmldr Hi Nikita, thanks for checking our platform! You are right of course, a trip is more than a hotel! We are starting with 1.4 million hotels, homestays and vacation rentals but we'll soon add activities, tours, car rentals, airport transfers, etc. Having said that, we think the place you decide to stay (neighborhood and hotel) is always going to be the most important decision regarding your trip (compared to your flight, your rental car, the restaurant reservation, etc).

@naeem Hi Naeem, you got it! You now own your own travel booking website! The only thing you still have to do is make it public. You can do that in your settings.

Great job. Who is the seller on record for the booking? TRVL? the human "agent" or the bed bank?
Love the Idea and makes sense too. The only thing I am missing is seeing an example of how I can actually benefit without signing in first.
@raijman thanks Dario! You will get a commission on every booking you make, also the bookings for yourself. You will be able to see the commissions on every one of the 1.4 million hotels, home stays or vacation rentals that TRVL currently offers. And you will get a dashboard that keeps track of your earnings and your activity. There are three mobile screens uploaded to this page that show you what that looks like.
