Hey PH -- Over the past 4 years, we've been hard at work building the AssemblyAI API - a fast and accurate API for automatic Speech-to-Text. Thousands of developers, and hundreds of startups, use our API to transcribe millions of zoom meetings, phone calls, podcasts, and other types of audio/video content every day. Today, we're excited to launch our newest product - Auto Chapters. With Auto Chapters, our API can automatically break your audio/video files up into "chapters" of content as the topic of conversation changes, and then provides an automatically generated summary for each "chapter". The best analogy is that this is basically an API to create something similar to YouTube Chapter descriptions (if you're familiar with YouTube chapters). For example, here are some of the "chapter" summaries generated by our API for Joe Biden's State of the Union: 31:42: 90% of Americans now live within 5 miles of a vaccination site. 44:28: The American Jobs plan is going to create millions of good paying jobs. 47:59: No one working 40 hours a week should live below the poverty line. ... We already have startups using our Auto Chapters product to provide time-coded summaries for podcasts, zoom meeting records, and phone calls in their applications. This is brand new - and we're really excited to be launching this! You can sign up for the API for free and try out the Auto Chapters product on your audio/video files today. If you have any feedback/comments - definitely let us know here in the comments!
