Atlas.co is a collaborative GIS and mapping platform in the browser. Build, share, and edit maps with your team in real-time, visualize data effortlessly, and explore geographic insights interactively.
Congrats on the launch team π Making web apps collaborative is not an easy task and definitely not easier as an afterthought. It is great to see a solution around that which seems baked into the product really well . Good luck with your metrics π
It's so flexible that anyone, really! We see that urban planners, renewable energy developers, environmental analysts and business devs within retail and marketing love it so far!
Just played around with it! Its definitely powerful and I like the straight forward map making. But there are a few hurdles that are not as easy to overcome for laypeople that don't often work with GIS or any other spatial data. For example: If I just want to draw a few polygons and extrude them with the height parameter, that doesn't seem to work without any data to draw from.
Would love an option to just use the height property on all polygons, even those without a dataset (basically naked shapes). Also: The community maps showcase some neat 3D view angle out of the box, but embedding a map myself doesn't make it easy to understand how to achieve that. Even though its one of the community maps.
But I'll definitely keep an eye out for new updates! Its a great alternative to Felt and other Mapmaking tools.
