We constantly exchange sensitive or confidential information, yet this is often done over chat or messaging tools that may not comply with organizational policies for handling sensitive data. This can lead to significant security risks. To address this, we developed Secure Notes for JSM, providing a secure way to share sensitive information within Jira Service Management. Here are some use cases where it can help: 💼 Engineering: Share code snippets, encryption keys, and technical documentation. 📈 Product Management: Encrypt roadmaps and specifications. 👥 Human Resources: Protect onboarding/offboarding information. ⚖️ Legal: Secure contracts and intellectual property documents. 📣 Marketing: Encrypt campaign plans and strategies. 💰 Finance: Secure financial reports and sensitive data. 🛠️ IT Ops: Exchange OTPs for internal access. I'm curious about how sensitive data is being handled or communicated in your industry (telco, healthcare, banking, etc.), especially if you're using Jira Service Management for customer support, technical support, or sales support. How do you handle these challenges? Do you think a tool like Secure Notes for JSM could be useful in your processes? I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

Exciting to see a solution that integrates directly with jira service Management to handle sensitive data securely. How does the encryption process ensure that only authorized users can access the notes?
Choong Pak Wai
@mather_marker Thanks for taking an interest in our apps. To answer your question on the encryption, it is a mix of using a well-known cryptographic algorithm (aes-256) and permission control to ensure that only the allowed user has access. We also have a pretty in-depth doc (https://apps-docs.servicerocket....) that you can read. Hopefully, that addresses your question. Feel free to schedule a call with our PM using this link (https://calendar.app.google/4FEq...) if you're interested to know more. Btw, we're also giving out a special promo: SNFSLAUNCH Give this app a shot if this is something you're missing in your process!

First of all, congrats on the launch! Secure Notes for JSM sounds like a much-needed solution for handling sensitive data within Jira Service Management. I’m particularly interested in the encryption methods used to protect the data. Can you provide more details on the encryption standards and protocols implemented in the app?
Charlotte Combes
I’d love to know more about hoe it handles different types of sensitive data. Are there any limitations on what can be stored and secured?
Kelvin Chua Foo Long
@charlotte_combes Hey Charlotte, thanks for the support! To answer your question, Secure Notes for JSM can only store text-based information for now, so this ranges from information like API tokens to financial information for your company or employee. We will introduce the ability to upload files in the future if the demand is there. If you have the time, maybe you could share with us some feedback for the app in a one-on-one session.
