Hey everyone, Because of the great feedback we received the last time we posted to Product Hunt, we were able to make some big changes to how Huttle Jobs that I wanted to share with you today. The two biggest updates are 1) we’ve added more cities than just SF & New York and 2) we now surface recommended jobs based on your college major or interest. The reason we went with a major/interest-based approach rather than a traditional search engine is because we received overwhelming feedback that college students and recent grads don’t know what job titles or keywords to search. They don’t know that Marketing Assistant, Marketing Coordinator, Paid Search Assistant, Email Associate, and Social Media Manager are all synonyms for entry-level marketing jobs. But, we do! So, we built an algorithm to fix this pain point, and now Huttle Jobs matches college majors/interests to relevant jobs so that people can spend more time finding the right role and less time searching for keywords to type into a search engine.
