Avo takes the busywork out of analytics. Guided workflow to catch errors and sync across your tools (e.g. Amplitude & Mixpanel). Use your time on building great products.
I am a happy Avo user for a long time. If we hadn't used Avo, our analytics would be pretty much useless. Avo helps us maintain quality as new teammates dive into analytics.
The team has always been super helpful too!
Thank you @sethmills21 – And thank you for being an amazing user 🙌 Keep all the thoughts and feedback coming, that's what drives us to keep building! 🚀
Yay, thank you @sethmills21 – it's been inspiring for us to keep building better products to have you sliding into our DMs on Twitter, Intercom and Slack to tell us what you're up to with Avo 🥰 keep it coming 🚀
Yay, thank you @irhymeth ! Appreciate this coming from you!
And for readers: I recommend Arpit's Data-led community! His content on building data cultures and choosing tools is super helpful.
Have been using Avo for a couple years now and it's just a great product.
Coincidentally, I just so happened to spin up Avo for a new project yesterday -- it already caught a few errors I would have introduced into the codebase!
Hah love that you spun up Avo for a new project just YESTERDAY! What a time to be alive.
You know we're always here for you. And feel free to join the Avo community for some advice from the Avo team and the amazing people in our community who know even more than we do 🚀
@calvinlegassick
@stefaniabje@logason this is so exciting to see. Managing data is so time consuming. I feel like I've wasted years of my life on it.
It is so great to see Avo make that more efficient. With Avo in place, I feel like I can finally trust my data
👋 Hi Product Hunters, I'm Stef – feeling proud today as one of the makers of Avo 🥰
We’re psyched to bring you Avo for PMs! We know the struggle for trustworthy data is real. Today, we are sharing a guided analytics workflow which pairs with your existing tools to make sure it’s done right the first time.
📣 We’ll be on Product Hunt *all day* answering your questions with our team: @logason@thora_gudfinnsdottir1@br_avo@jdsimcoe@alexey_verein@hugi_hlynsson@kelseyfecho@bryndis_alexanders@BrynjaHuld
📺 You can also chat with us live on Twitch https://www.twitch.tv/avohq from 10am-12pm Pacific. We’ll have demos, interviews with special guests, trivia and more!
I’m Stef, the CEO and co-founder of Avo. My teammates and I know the pain of managing clunky data. We created Avo because we wanted to spend less time managing data and more time acting on it.
🥑 Who is Avo for?
Before Avo, many of us spent our time working to prevent and catch data issues at companies like QuizUp, Icelandair and WOW Air. We created layers of tools, processes and data literacy to make informed decisions possible.
We knew there had to be a better way 🤔
After talking with colleagues at companies like Twitch and Spotify, we learned that so many others had built the same internal tools to address this problem of inconsistent event analytics. Teams have been forced to choose between product delivery speed and reliable insights.
We wanted to solve this problem once and for all. Avo is that readymade analytics quality solution!
I know what you’re thinking - “we already have analytics tools.” That’s great! Avo works alongside Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment and more! And there’s no need to make a big switching plan, you can gradually incorporate Avo into your analytics process. Day by day making your data lightyears easier to plan, implement, verify and use.
So how does it work?
📊Avo assists as you add new events and properties to make sure your data stays clean and consistent. We check your existing analytics plan and flag issues, suggest changes, and help you resolve them before you add it into your code. Catch noise before it ends up in your data set.
💻 Avo creates clean, thoughtful code you can use for analytics instrumentation. Our easy to access debugger shows engineering if the event was implemented correctly and you can use it on web, iOS or Android to check that events are firing when you intend them to.
📓 Avo allows you to document your events, properties and definitions once. Engineers can grab the implementation details and you can sync all the info straight into Mixpanel or Amplitude automatically. Stop redoing work between spreadsheets, engineering tickets and platforms and start syncing from one place!
Give Avo a try by importing your tracking plan from Mixpanel, Amplitude, or a spreadsheet today!
P.S. We are giving all hunters two months of our Starter plan. It is the perfect way for products teams to get started on their journey towards better analytics. Just use the code Avo4PMs when you sign up today.
This is solving a huge problem for the analytics world. Products complexity is growing exponentially and so there’s a big gap between the data that is tracked and the understanding of an organization of their product and that data. Avo is the real deal to solve it!
Stefania and team- congratulations on the launch here and we love partnering with you at Amplitude across so many customers.
Avo is the absolute best way for PMs to think through their product metrics. They've given me the power to own a significant part of the analytics instrumentation. This has multiple benefits; I think about metrics much sooner in our product development process. I'm more confident in our metrics. Our engineers are much more willing to jump into the instrumentation because they know it will be a breeze.
Absolute killer product!
There’s a bug in the event dashboard.
Marketing blames the data team.
The data team blames the engineering team for bad instrumentation.
The engineering team blames the PM for a bad requirements.
The product team... signs up for Avo.
Honestly this is real, real pain. If you've worked in data, you've felt it. Sign up for Avo.
aaaaahahaha.
Seth Rosen – the script author that gets all of us cold sweats and nightmares
... EXCEPT WITH THE AVO SIGNUP!!! what a relief with that ending 😅
@seth_rosen@logason
Congrats to the Avo team on the launch!🎉 Super excited about how Avo can empower product managers to make decisions based on better data and for devs to implement analytics reliably and fast. A great solution to fix your analytics and ship great products faster 🚀
I'm so excited to be launching these workflows and new features to support solo PMs and teams working to scale and develop their analytics culture. Our design process at @avohq is driven by customer insights and deep learning of how teams work with data. The value of having a system to make sense of the chaos is incalculable. Thanks for stopping by and please don't hesitate to reach out to us here or on Twitter if you have ideas of how we can continue to make our product or the experience of building your tracking plan more human and focused.
Congrats on the launch, Team Avo! Very rare to see such a stellar team unite to solve such a ubiquitous problem - and I can attest to that as someone who onboarded hundreds of clients on product analytics!
Thank you, @varun_sharma4! I appreciate this coming from you. We're stoked about this launch, Varun :) it's a game changer for managing tracking plans 🚀
Huge fan of this! I've worked on event analytics at tens of companies, and there were major problems with the source data every time. It was usually a long road from detecting a there's a problem in a dashboard(errors can go unnoticed for a long time!), tracing it all the way up the data pipeline, and then finally figuring out what went wrong with the event logging code.
I *love* the idea of solving this problem up front. Just having a shared tool for data scientists, PMs, & engineers to collaboratively define & QA the tracking logic is a huge innovation. Having visibility/monitoring on that tracking over time is amazing.
@slater_stich Yay, thanks for sharing Slater! Excited to share what we've built with you!
Up front is *the* way to solve it – so glad to hear you share our sentiment there 👏
You ready with a tracking plan we can try Avo out with? 🚀
I might be more excited about us putting down Avo than christmas. These issues hit way too close to home and I'm so glad some is out there solving them!
Hahaha love it. I relate to this feeling more exciting than Christmas @nick_threapleton
Can't wait to show the world your advice for building good data cultures.
