For instance, while reading long articles or completing long download/upload processes, or even when backing up or copying large files to external hard drives, your macOS device may go into sleep mode (energy-saving mode) and interrupt the process. With Awake, you can activate features like App-Based Sleep Prevention, External Disk-Based Sleep Prevention, Time-Based Sleep Prevention, and more to ensure that your device stays awake and productive. Awake also prevents your device from going into screen saver mode or any other sleep-related state.
