@maxmusing congrats on the launch! this is so cool for data teams. Have you considered adding features like automated data storytelling or customizable dashboards for deeper insights?
@maxmusing @masump Hey Masum! Right now all of the Dashboards are fully customizable. You can make them however you want, that's the main benefit of the product. As a matter of fact, we have a dashboard made just for this launch, tracking all of the metrics, signups etc. They only take minutes to make since you don't have to write any SQL.
As far as the automated storytelling... well you'll have to stay tuned for what we have in mind next. I'm very excited for what we can make with this new platform.

I'm not sure if my use-case is good for this: publishing annual surveys about design tools once per year and the batch data is stored locally. But I would be really interested in trying to extend this in some way to build UI and visualizations with it.

@designertom Not sure how either, but I'd be really stoked if we could get that data set up in a way you could use it. I'd imagine that you could bring in all of the data from the past years. We did that with our State of Databases survey a few years ago and even though it was early days of AI in Basedash, it was really cool to see what insights we could pull out of it.
We’ve been heads-down for the past year refining every detail of our new AI-native platform. Our goal was to build something that feels genuinely magical—just ask a question in plain English and get a solid, trustworthy answer, and the best possible way to visualize the underlying data. We invested a ton of effort into making sure the AI truly understands your database schema right away, no matter how complex, so that you don't have to.
One thing I’m personally excited about is how fast it all feels. We wanted zero lag, which is why we prioritized 60 FPS performance, instant loads, server-side caching, and full keyboard shortcuts. We've pulled a lot of inspiration from power user apps like Superhuman and Linear, and want to be sure that we're not only making an app that's easy to use, but that gets out of your way and lets you find answers to as many questions as possible as quickly as possible.

Super pumped on this launch. The team did such an amazing job making this come to life. I've used a lot of BI/Collaborative SQL tools and I feel like we've nailed the balance of power features with a simple experience. Every time we get a bug report from a user I am able to spin up a new dashboard and have relevant context within minutes. TTF (Time To Fix) has gone way down! For real though if you're in need of business insights ASAP start with us. No engineering intervention needed. Start talking with your data immediately and when you need more analytics/events we'll be ready for that as well with upcoming features like Warehouse and Session Replay.

@davej Thanks! Firebase? Yes. Firestore... gahh not so much. We'll be sure to let you know when that support is on the roadmap!

@sentry_co yes! We have a slack integration right now that allows you to send any chart you make straight to slack, and that includes GA4 data if you have it hooked up. We have our GA hooked up and it's awesome not having to go into the console for the metrics or to dig into data.
There's a ton more planned around automatic sharing and a deeper integration with Slack, would love to have you test it out and see what you think.
We support sharing charts to Slack. Planning to expand support to allow sharing on a schedule!

The team really shines with their super refined design aesthetic and ability to ship fast. Their data visualizations are stunning and incredibly intuitive to create — you simply ask a question about what you want to see, and their AI determines the optimal way to represent it, and pulls the right data directly from your database or data source.

I've been testing the new Basedash for a few months and the amount of craft the team has put into it is unreal. Practically wether you know SQL or not isn't the point anymore it's just so much fastest to iterate on a query with plain text. Let's go!!
Yup totally agree, I've been using AI almost exclusively now within the app. Definitely changed in the past few months, I expect it to get even more clear in the coming months.
Congrats on the launch team, it looks amazing! I've been fortunate to work closely with the Basedash team during the development of this new version, and it's incredible to see the amount of care and detail they've put into it. This truly feels like the future of BI, where we can focus on asking the right questions, regardless of our SQL expertise.
