It's weird that as our laptop battery lives get longer we also seem to need to charge them more. I'ma chalk it up to us being the transition between super short batteries that we all expected to charge all the time and magic batteries that last forever. Interesting that this device won't actually charge a laptop, but simply power it while plugged in. They claim that this is to protect the number of cycles on the internal battery, but I'm not sure I like that tradeoff.

This is basically straight out of my wish list of tools I want to help me do my job. Going to events, talks, conferences, and stressing out about finding outlets to plug our laptops in is so awful. I'm seriously contemplating getting one and suggesting my office buys a couple for people on the team to borrow for events. Powering our laptops is a major challenge...
