Hello Product Hunt community **👋**
We are building beams to help tech employees work better, not more. We started with a Mac Menu Bar App integrated with Google calendar and Slack that guides you through the day from the top of your screen. Now we beamed the product up (pun intended) to another level with the beams Calendar Health Check.
🤯 Do you know the feeling when it’s already the end of the day and you have no idea where all the time went? What did you actually work on? How did you spend your time?
We feel ya. As our beams core product is integrated with calendars we noticed how much valuable information our calendars carry about how we work. Insights that are not always available to us. This is why we built the calendar health check. To help you understand your work patterns better and ultimately help you create more focus time, reduce meetings and work more mindfully.
⛑️ Our calendar health check is like your Fitbit for work, giving you a holistic picture about your calendar health every day. The calendar health score tells you how healthy your calendar looks today and comes along with a suggestion with one thing you can do to improve your day.
You will also receive detailed stats and insights into how much time you spend in meetings vs solo work blocks or focus time, what kind of meetings those are and who you meet with the most. And you can even send your meeting buddies virtual flowers 💐
🦄 This is just the first step to help you understand your work behaviour better. As a next step, we will generate similar insights from further SaaS tools you use (Slack, Notion, Linear,…) and even your desktop behaviour. To give you hyper-personalised context-aware and real time suggestion how you can work with more focus and less stress.
🙏 We are super excited for you to try it and already look forward to your feedback.
@jana_schellong This sounds like a fantastic tool, especially in today's work-from-home culture where the lines between work and rest can blur. I'm particularly interested in the next steps you mentioned, integrating insights from other SaaS tools. How do you see these integrations enhancing the user experience?
@artyom_chelbayev thanks for our support! We will generate more insights around the quality of the meetings, and bring more insights from the menu bar app for goal tracking 😍
Good luck for the launch, and congrats on a wonderful product. Also, in building a great community and a 'wunderbar' tool (literally - it brings wonder to your menu bar, as well as simplifying your life & productivity). Happy to be an early user and advocate for something that I use daily, hourly ... you get the drill.
It's amazing!
For startup founders, health is very important. We have to have a sales meeting with our client and develop new features. Seeing a visualization of my schedule will allow me to figure out how to balance my life!
It seems for free, but are you planning to charge?
@naoto_shibata_morph thanks for your comment! we are planning to have it free for individuals with a paid plan for teams. Looks like there are so many teams out there struggling with recurring meetings and overwhelming schedule. We are planning to aggregate the data in an insightful and actionable format.
If you have any further features/insights which would be valuable for your team let us know ;)
Thanks Mrs. Shlong. This product looks great, I normally go to the gym once every other day or every few days so maybe this can help me get push ups in between gym workouts!
I have been using Beams as an early adopter for months and as a busy co-founder of a tech company, I find a huge relief with the functionalities that improves my life daily focus on work.
I am also a huge fan of their community which is super responsive and friendly.
Keep up the good work!
Love it! For me personally, founder mental health is tightly connected to how my calendar looks like: Squeezing in another meeting here and there, and then stressing to get some deep work done as well. Much looking forward to getting some insights :)
@jerome_bau I can so much relate to that. we're using timeboxing a lot to minimize adhoc and back to back meetings. would like to hear more feedback once you use the product for a bit 🙂
