Beeper Mini is a full Android chat app designed for chatting with iPhone friends. With Beeper Mini, you are no longer a green bubble! When iPhone friends text you, your number shows up blue.
Hello Product Hunt!
I’ve been working on Beeper for 3 years now. Previously, I was a partner at YC and WAY before that I started a smartwatch company called Pebble.
Today, we’re excited to announce Beeper Mini. It’s our beautiful new Android app built specifically to send and receive blue bubble messages to friends with iPhones.
Beeper Mini has three major new features compared to our first generation Beeper app:
- Send and receive iMessages to your phone number, not only an email address.
- Beautiful new design, blazing fast speed.
- Full end-to-end encryption.
- Standalone Android app - no desktop/laptop required.
Available to download today, no waitlist. Get it on the Play store https://play.google.com/store/ap... try it out for yourself!
As soon as you install Beeper Mini, your Android phone number will be blue instead of green when your iPhone friends text you. It’s easy to join iPhone-only group chats, since people can add your phone number instead of your email address. All chat features like typing status, read receipts, full resolution images/video, emoji reactions, voice messages, editing/unsending etc are supported.
Beeper Mini is free to try for 7 days. After that, we charge $1.99 per month. Our business model is simple - we build a great app and earn money from those who find value in it. We feel that this business model aligns our success with your best interests. No ads. Complete data security and privacy.

iMessage is a great MOAT for Apple and for year they've protected it as much as possible and recent RCS integration announcement is a surprise. $1.99 is a great deal for people who don't want to move to iPhone or use Android but have to due to iMessage. Will test it out
This is great news, congrats on the launch team 🚀 Beeper idea is similar to creating portals between two realms, it is highly technical and more challenging than it seems. Good luck with finding the niche that it deserves.
Woul awesome, I just installed it on a Galaxy Fold. Would be great to see additional UI options for when device is open and when it is partially folded!!
I'll keep a look out for FaceTime integration...
A very interesting tool, I only use imessage to connect and have struggled to have conversations with many friends/relatives who use Android (I just am not a big fan of messaging apps in general) but this is very interesting and I do want to check it out to see how it works! will be recommending it to my Android using friends!
First, Congratulations on the launch.
The app is smooth, nice and tight UI/UX. I installed this today, the first problem I had was it wouldn't let me verify with google account, then after reading FAQs, I resolved it. The next problem I'm having is phone verification, It wouldn't verify, the verification starts but fails after few moments. I'll be waiting for this to be fixed because otherwise texting with email as contact identifier isn't friendly and is inconvenient.
I'm excited and optimistic for Beeper's future. Getting all of my messgae in one app in future is exciting.
can't wait for Beeper Mini to become Beeper🤞
@ericmigi I've just been playing with Beeper mini, looks really nice! I used beeper on Android a while back and found the UI rather lacking, nice to see some big improvements here
