👋 Hey hunters! I am excited to present you with the latest product I've been building: a free web-based Background Remover tool using PhotoRoom's in-house image segmentation AI. There are dozens of tools to remove image backgrounds. So what's different this time? 1. We're building custom deep learning models to make sure we can remove backgrounds accurately in most situations. 2. PhotoRoom goes further than removing backgrounds. Using our mobile apps (and soon, our web app), you can add 3d shadows, outlines, blurs, text, and many more effects. This background remover tool is our first step towards providing the PhotoRoom image editing experience on the web. Our short-term roadmap includes interactive segmentation, effects, and HD download. @vvoyer Nice! Is there any limit for file size? All competitors have this so I'm wondering if you're unique in this field?

@csaba_kissi On this particular free tool, yes, there's a limit for file size on the output (not on the input, you can upload up to 10MB file, I believe). In free mode, the output size/dimensions are limited so that our business model can scale. However, on our pro plan, there's no limit on the output dimensions/size. Our pro plan is currently available via our mobile apps subscriptions and soon on the web too. Additionally, we're building a web image editor that will map our mobile app's features. I hope that clarifies it!

Oh finally a free tool for background removal. Why did you decide to release this tool for free? I think there's like 3-4 services that do the same but they charge for it.
