Can we talk about the best use cases for this? It seems the broad general use case of uniquely branded, locally owned scooters doesn’t add significant value for riders, and it’s unclear how this is a better margin formula for Bird compared to keeping the full profit and assigning venture funds or other low cost debt for purchasing scooters outright. Perhaps there are specific use cases like events where this makes sense. Any others?

@bryonshannon I had the same questions, and it sounds like users would have to download another app that's "powered by Bird" to ride your scooters.

Wow. Ingenious solution for getting rid of Bird's cap-ex problem while making money off some. I would be very surprised if this actually makes anyone money.

This seemed like the inevitable expansion for Bird, however with all the backlash towards scooter sharing and of course state legislation being an obstacle, I wonder how well this can work out?
