Hey PH Community ๐Ÿ‘‹ I learned a lot from Bizway's launch at the beginning of this year. My number one takeaway being: Everyone wants a little guidance when they're starting something new. And rightly so. They want to know that they're taking the right steps. Or at least moving in the right direction. They'd like to know that if they put in the work, and complete steps 1, 2, 3, to 50, they'll be rewarded. When you're starting a business, especially if it's your first time, there are no guarantees. You can binge-watch My First Million, read Zero To One, go down many insightful rabbit holes on how to plan, build and launch a business. But the truth is: Every business is different. The consequence being that every business needs personalized advice & guidance. What worked for Airbnb may not apply to your retro 90s clothing ecommerce store idea. And while now would be a good moment to shout 'You need a business mentor!', 99% of individuals who are at the stage of mulling over a new business idea are not going to pay for a mentor or consultant to help them think through the earliest stages of their idea. The majority of early users for Bizway were individuals in the earliest planning stages of a new business. I was offering 'a team of custom AI Assistants', but what they really wanted (and needed) was some structure and personalized guidance to help bring their business idea to life. So, that's what I've focused on building for the last 3-4 months. Now, Bizway's killer feature is a personalized, 50-step business roadmap for every business idea. Every step in the roadmap offers a 'Shortcut' to help you make progress on that task. So, if the next step is 'Research your top 10 competitors', you can use a Shortcut, and Bizway will generate a new Doc for you that summarizes your top 10 competitors (based on everything it already knows about your business idea). As you work your way through your Roadmap, using Shortcuts and generating Docs, you can save these Docs to your knowledge hub--and this is what gives Bizway the context it needs to be able to update your Roadmap with the most relevant recommendations. Say you've settled on 'LinkedIn, Twitter, and SEO' as your primary marketing channels. Save that to your knowledge hub, refresh your Roadmap, and Bizway will only recommend marketing steps related to those channels going forward. My primary goal with Bizway is to encourage people to start and stick with their business ideas by taking small, actionable steps every day. And since introducing this Roadmap update, I'm seeing a significant increase in user activity and engagement--people taking small steps, daily, toward bringing their business idea to life. I'm very excited to share it with you all, today. If you're starting a business, building a product, launching a channel; I applaud you. Keep up the great work, and keep up the momentum. And if you do have a chance to check out Bizway, I'd love to hear your feedback. Best, Gerrard Founder @bizway.io

Incredible update on Bizway, Gerrard! Have you considered any community features where users can share insights or roadmaps for peer feedback?
Gerrard Lipscombe
@sankeerth_julapally Thanks for the feedback! This is literally next on my list. I'm currently thinking through best ways to let users share their business journey with others. My current thoughts are: - Easy interface to share and get feedback from friends, family and peers at earliest stages; - Sharing their wins; - Sharing challenges they've faced; - Sharing solutions they came across (learnings). What would you be most interested in seeing? More along the 'getting feedback on your business' side, or more about learning and sharing insights?

Bizway sounds super helpful for new entrepreneurs! Personalized business roadmaps are a great idea. How does your platform adapt the roadmap as a business grows and its goals evolve over time? Do you have any predictive analytics to foresee potential challenges?
Gerrard Lipscombe
@p_val Thanks Val! As you save Docs to your Biz workspace, the context and background for the Roadmap generation is updated. One part of the context that's more important for 'growing' businesses rather than those just starting out is KPIs. There's a section in Bizway to set your target KPIs, current status, etc. and that information can be key for helping Bizway make relevant recommendations to help you grow over time. Hope that helps to clarify!

Hey Gerrard, Bizway sounds like a solid resource for anyone starting a business. How does the AI determine the most relevant steps and shortcuts for each business idea? Are there any particular industries or business types youโ€™ve seen the tool perform exceptionally well with? Looking forward to exploring it!
Gerrard Lipscombe
@kyrylosilin Good question. As you complete steps in your Roadmap, you'll be generating and storing Docs to your Biz workspace. There's a feature in Bizway called your 'BizPack', which essentially lets you select the Docs that you would like Bizway to know about you. So, as you add more Docs to your BizPack, you can refresh your Roadmap (either the whole roadmap, or individual steps) and Bizway will take all that background information about your business to develop a roadmap that is personalized to your idea + what you've shared in your Docs. Does that make sense? Thanks for the question! Also, regarding business types, I'd say it does best on common or well-defined business models that have tried and tested tactics. So, if you have some truly unique combination, then you'll just need to save more Docs as context so that Bizway can make more appropriate recommendations.
Max Mikhaylovskii
Hey there, Bizway team! Just stumbled across your project and I must say, it's looking pretty neat. You've got this whole "roadmap" thing down to a tee, huh? Loving the idea of getting personalized, step-by-step guidance through the rollercoaster ride that is starting a business. It's like having a GPS for entrepreneurship, which frankly, is a relief because I'd be totally lost otherwise. Also, an applause to y'all for the Shortcuts - another big โ€œYesโ€ from me for gamifying the process; it's like turning business into a leveled video game and I am here for it. Plus, the Notion-style Docs? Wow! One thing I wondered, though: are the business roadmaps generatable for varying types of businesses, or is it aimed at a specific business model? Keep up the great work!
Gerrard Lipscombe
@max_mikhaylovskii Thanks for the feedback, Max! Yes, roadmaps are applicable to any business type--any business has a plan for how it will be set up and launched, so every business type can have its own roadmap :) Hope that helps!

Congrats on the Bizway launch! ๐Ÿ‘ This sounds like a fantastic tool for someone like me who loves structured guidance for new projects. I canโ€™t wait to try this and get on top of long list of to-dos! Quick question: How does Bizway adapt the roadmap as new information is added to the knowledge hub?
Gerrard Lipscombe
@amy_park4 Thanks for the feedback and question. After adding new information to the Knowledge Hub, you can select which Docs you want to be included in your 'BizPack' and which you want to remove. Then, you can either choose to refresh your entire Roadmap, refresh individual recommendations in your roadmap, or you can 'Lock in' certain recommendations, then hit 'Refresh all' and it will refresh everything except the ones you've locked. When it refreshes, Bizway will take into account the updated BizPack to generate your new roadmap recommendations. Hope that helps! :)

Bizway is an excellent tool for those starting a business. How does Bizway adapt the roadmap for businesses in different industries or sectors? For instance, how would the roadmap for a tech startup differ from that of a retail business? Great launch!!
Gerrard Lipscombe
@jackeye Good question. There are some fundamental differences in business model that Bizway will pick up on from the initial idea. So, for retail, it will likely recommend some steps around securing suppliers, managing inventory, finding a storefront; while for a tech startup it will suggest mapping out your wireframes and development timelines. So even from the very initial idea, it will give you relevant recommendations for the business model and type--but the nice thing is that as you input and share more information about the specific type of business you want to build, and how you'd like to build it, Bizway uses that context to tailor its recommendations further. The end result being that as you share more about your business and what you're working on, the recommendations for what to do next become even more tailored and relevant. Thanks for the question, hope that helps clarify!
