Blitter — A bill splitter for Android, featuring OCR for receipts
Using Blitter you will not have to do complex maths to know how much money each person has to pay when you go shopping or to a restaurant with your friends and family.
You just need to scan the receipt using your camera. Blitter will recognise the products and their prices. Then, you will be able to assign each product to one or more people. Finally, Blitter will calculate for you how much each person has to pay.
Furthermore, you can share the breakdown with your friends using any app. Everything is easier using Blitter!

Ooh I like the part where you can just scan the bill and it'll do the rest for you.
Any plans on making this for iOS, @samuelsoutullo?

@amrith I don't have iOS programming skills, so not for now. But if the app gets enough downloads I think I could get the motivation to learn and actually port it to iOS.

This is great! @samuelsoutullo, out of curiosity what receipt recognition api did you use ?
@robera_geleta I used the Google Cloud OCR API. It isn't a receipt recognition API, but a pretty standard OCR library. When using it, it just returns the recognized text blocks and their positions. I do the rest of the job.

i love idea that we can just scan recipe. why your not creating IOS app? Google Cloud OCR API have some issue you faced ??
