I'm not familiar enough with blockstack yet to really comment on it, but this is probably the future of the internet. Given the trajectory of govs and companies trying to lock down the 1st internet, there will be more and more alternatives like this one that will try to provide the freedom we've had before

This is so exciting. The onboarding for the browser is however highly confusing and intimidating to me. Some tooltips / explanations would be really helpful and I think would improve completion rates.

I've been fiddling around with Decentralized network/ blockchain based products for sometime now. Blockstack is setting up an amazing ecosystem on its decentralized web. The community is so open at the moment, with constant exchange of concepts, a strong support network that help individuals push radical ideas on the blockchain network using blockstack - Let's put the user in control.

The development environment is at its early stage and very welcoming.

Blockstack focuses on general-purpose apps and the core architecture, and even the libraries are very different. Here is a discussion about the difference between Ethereum and Blockstack: https://forum.blockstack.org/t/w...

I'm excited to be a part of this journey with Blockstack.

Pros:

Blockstack is innovation at its core, fundamentally it's going to change the way internet works.

Cons:

Adoption rate might be slow, but this is the future.

How is this different from the Brave Browser?
Emmanuel Lemor
@tjpatel Brave is just a Chromium based browser that tries to be good about security and privacy... this is something completely different based on an evolution of the internet toward its next era/version... decentralized at the start and much more...

@tjpatel @exlemor it seems interesting but I'm still trying to understand how it works. I have a basic understanding of blockchain and crypto assets and was wondering how does this fit in?

There are several DApps and why Blockstack browser has only 3 ready apps?
