blogstatic is a powerful no-code blogging tool. With the recent launch of the proprietory DesignStudio, bloggers can customize their blog's styles and fonts and match them to their brand or existing website.
Hey friends π
Val here again, founder of blogstatic.io.
Since its first successful PH launch in December 2022, blogstatic has grown by leaps and bounds, evolving from a simple blogging tool with only a handful of basic features to a full-fledged blogging platform with various breakthrough options.
I say 'breakthrough' to emphasize how a solo maker can make a significant impact in the market by truly listening to clients and coming up with innovative solutions for them.
π ββοΈ A true Noβcode tool π ββοΈ
Customizations and code injections have been a part of blogstatic since day one, reflecting my commitment to empowering clients to easily modify their blogs. However, making these modifications wasn't always easy because clients had to write CSS code, which, even for those who do it daily, was still a bit tedious.
... enter DesignStudio! π¨
DesignStudio is something entirely new to blogstatic and the blogging market in general. What it does is give clients the possibility to easily change styles and fonts through color pickers, drop-down selections, and sliders. Both for light and dark modes.
The best part is that modified styles and fonts are interchangeable between themes, so the client can quickly switch between theme structures and still maintain the integrity of their modifications.
π₯ Pricing as a Feature π₯
Yes! blogstatic still maintains the most affordable pricing in the market while going toe-to-toe with market leaders and sometimes exceeding them β with the sole idea of making blogstatic accessible to all and a noβbrainer to start with.
π§ So what other things can you do with blogstatic nowadays?
A lot! β
β Run your blog on the /subfolder of your main domain
β Enjoy the privacy-focused Plausible Analytics included for free
β Select between self-generated social media cards or your posts' defaults
β Select from the vast library of Google Variable Fonts while customizing your blog
β Insert pre-generated CTAs anywhere on your posts
β Send out Newsletters and check your stats
β Include a TOC to a post with links leading to H2 and H3 titles in the post
β Include Galleries on posts through multiple editor elements
β Include Footnotes with anchor links leading to the marker and back
β Utilize the non-auth JSON API to bend and twist your content externally
β Embed the latest posts on an external website through a simple modifiable script
β Include top-menu buttons that can resemble authentication buttons
β ...and so much more!
blogstatic is still here, because of the support from clients and other makers!
π£ Here's what some of them had to say π£οΈ
β "I am moving our blog over from WP, and every time I do something with blogstatic, I love it more. This is a fantastic product, and customer support is stellar." β Peggy
β "A great company with great support and a plethora of features at a solid price!" β Surojit

Please, explore blogstatic.io and feel free to ask me any direct questions about blogstatic and I'll make sure to answer them all the best way I possibly can.
Thank you for reading this far and a giganticβmajor thanks for supporting this launch π
@kjosephabraham Thank you so much for the well wishes, Joseph π They mean a ton.
When the product first soft-launched way back in April 2021, it was a simple app serving blogs with static files. The static part has since evolved, because while benchmarking with cached versions the difference was minimal and sometimes better in favor of cached versions. Also, the truly static (serving files from the server) became harder as other elements were introduced (categories, authors, etc.) JS injecting was still needed, to keep the integrity intact, which made the static part unnecessary and sometimes a gimmick.
However, the name has remained.
You can find a bunch of these stories on my personal blog and my podcast.
@jasonleowsg Thank you, Jason π€ you know I was going to hold on to it for another week, because I couldn't record the intro video LOL. Then decided to record it in the car and just hit Publish. Enough is Enough π
@max_savonin1 Hi Max. Thanks so much for the good words and your well wishes. I appreciate it a ton.
To answer your questions.
At the time of this writing, there are 6 ready-to-go themes with their context ranging from personal blogs to full-fledged company SEO-driven publications. DesignStudio offers a few flairs to choose from, as well.
All in all, a client can go without using DesignStudio. Themes are ready as is, out of the box. DesignStudio is more for those who want to match their blogstatic blog to their existing website.
We have a ton of clients who use blogstatic in this context: They have an existing website (built with Carrd, Squarespace, WordPress, etc.) and use blogstatic to serve their blog on the /subfolder of their root domain.
Also, user style changes are only colors and certain cases padding and border widths. Translating them to mobile is done in relative sizes.
Thanks again, Max.
I use blogstatic.io for a while now and it works great! Itβs easy and very easy to use, just what I need. Also the owner Val Sopi is always there to help. In short: love the product and the support. I would recommend blogstatic.

Congrats on the launch, @valsopi!
@gregoiregilbert Such a great testimonial π Thank you, Greg! Your feedback has been super helpful throughout and has no doubt helped in improving blogstatic.
Your blog looks great π€ and I love getting your newsletters. Super concise and straight to the point. Absolutely love it!
I like how you included quick options and deep customization capabilities! Great to see another blogging tool - I think people underestimate how many people still blog.
Congrats on the launch @valsopi!
@tonyhanded Thanks, Tony! Yes I've included the quick options for those who may feel overwhelmed with all the options. And yeah β blogging is one of those legit forever things. The naming might change (content marketing, etc.) but people will write βοΈ
Congratulations on the launch! I love the possibility to host it under the `/blog` subpath. What was the most complicated part of the product to implement from the tech standpoint?
@semanser Thanks, Andriy. And, Yes! The /blog option is a game changer for all who have a website and want to connect a blog to it β plus, they can customize their blog via DesignStudio to completely match their existing website, so they look like they're on the same build.
As for the most complicated part, DesignStudio has definitely been an amazing challenge. There are a few moving parts that need to interact with one-another when someone is customizing a theme. Also, since the styles/fonts are interchangeable between themes, I had to make sure each theme supported a similar structure. 2.5 months to be exact is the time it took me to put it together. Probably one of my proudest building moments to date.
Thank you for asking, Andriy. And thanks again for your support.
Love it Val!
Congrats on the launch! DesignStudio looks dope!
And it's awesome to see your commitment to keeping things affordable while still offering powerful features. The demo content is super nifty, great idea. π‘
Kudos to you for listening to your users and continuously improving. Looking forward to seeing where blogstatic goes from here!
Also, I hope Tennis practice went well π
@mfahle Marcel, thanks for watching the video! π I usually go for a 6km walk while my son is playing, but today was a special day and I needed to to launch lol.
Thank you so much man for the good words around affordability β which I'm trying super hard to keep. Hope the client base keeps growing so the pricing stays the same π
Listening to clients has been super powerful. And it's not just a one-way listening exercise and then executing on command, but truly prodding the request and asking a ton of "whys". Lucky to have clients who are just as dedicated and want their blog to look and work perfectly!
@valsopi Yea, and the other thing about the video, which was great by the way: don't freaking overthink it!
I'd probably be handicapped by first scripting it, setting up light, mics, practicing, hair, makeup :D don't overthink it, sit in the car outside of tennis and hit record! Love this!
Great static blogging tool. I've been following Val's journey developing blogstatic and have a great impression of him & his project. Good luck with your launch!
Congrats on the launch, Val!! So this is what you were cooking in these last months. So exciting π₯³ I wish you and blogstatic all the best, you deserve it! π Keep it up!
@mattiarighetti Yes, Mattia π€ it's been in the works for about 2.5 months and quite well accepted by the client base, I must say. Thank you so much for all the good words. I appreciate you π
