Doodle Ipsum — The lorem ipsum of illustrations
Doodle Ipsum is a free illustration tool for devs powered by Blush! Inspired by the classic Lorem Ipsum, it automagically generates placeholder illustrations with a simple line of code.

While working with developers, I realized there was no simple tool for getting placeholder illustrations. Existing libraries were time-consuming, and most just focused on photos.
This is why we created Doodle Ipsum, a free tool for developers to quickly find illustration placeholders. You can now pick from different curated art styles, set your dimensions, apply some effects, and get an image URL for your project. You can also use multiple URLs in other sections.
Here's how it works:
- Choose from 🔶 Flat, ✏️ Hand drawn, 🗯️ Outline, 🌀 Abstract or random styles
- Select your background-color
- Pick your desired dimensions (1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, or custom)
- Apply some effects like Grayscale and Blur if you wanna get fancy
- Then just copy your image URL or the embed code
- And paste it into your site's code!
It's pretty simple. You can use these on your mockups, your landing pages, your web app, empty states, whatever.

I like cats because they are fat and fluffy. Kitty power cough hairball, eat toilet paper so hide head under blanket so no one can see. Congrats on the launch, great tool 🥳 I was looking for a similar solution for our UI kit to replace real portraits from the team/testimonial section. While I creating a downloadable package (for copyright issues). Can you please clarify if I can redistribute with download package or the same license applies as a blush?

Great launch, team! This looks like a great product, and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I went to the website, and it appears that there's an issue with how the styles are displayed. I can't get the style options to scroll, so I'm stuck after Avatar. Should there be a way to scroll to the other styles?

I love it! I noticed that you can simply type "https://doodleipsum.com/500x500" to get a random image of the size you put, without even needing to go to the site. So much better than all those weird placeholder image sites that used to be popular with cats and stuff.
@trafnar Yessss, you've found the easiest way to add an image. If you don't care about how it looks, Doodle Ipsum will just choose one for you!
