Took a look at the site, what problem is this solving exactly?

Bitcoin is secure but trust is lacking. Think of Yelp without ratings or Ebay where everyone was anonymous - the ecosystems would fail. Bonafide provides a trust and reputation layer while preserving anonymity, fostering a larger community and adoption of Bitcoin. We support many cryptocurrencies and uses so as the industry evolves and matures users and their identities will be able to carry their reputation through the journey. As a co-founder I'm interested in your take on Bitcoin and trust, please comment away or reach out to brian@bonafide.io

@madscibri how does it provide "a trust and reputation layer while preserving anonymity"?

@madscibri hey there -- still a bit confused :/ so you're adding people's identity to their bitcoin activity?
Brian Moyer
@eriktorenberg Users have the choice of showing their associated identities while getting reputation from transactions. I could have 200 positive ratings while keeping my identity hidden. We verify the information but only show the desired info. Think of ebay seller ratings - their information behind the scene is hidden but the trust comes through the platform from user ratings and ebay checks.

@imkialikethecar Users can attach addresses to their identity while remaining anonymous, if desired. Once you attach an address or account like Coinbase to Bonafide your set of addresses gain reputation as a group, even though other users don't see the associated addresses.
