Adding GIFs to bonuses is one of our customers' favorite features and now you can do it without leaving Slack! Bonusly users added nearly 1 million GIFs to bonuses on our web app in 2019, so get ready for lots of cute puppies and kittens in your Slack workspace.
✍️ Using the Give a bonus modal
We knew that giving a bonus through Slack wasn't intuitive for all users, so we’ve made that much easier. Bonusly for Slack users can now fill out the details of your bonus through a Slack modal instead of having to remember the /give command and formatting.
🎁🕊 Accessing the Bonusly Reward Catalog
Giving and viewing recognition is important, but so is turning that recognition into tangible perks! With the new Bonusly for Slack menu, users can easily get to Bonusly’s Reward Catalog to redeem for gift cards, experiences, cash, and charitable donations.
We used Bonusly at Piktochart and loved it! I think it's a perfect vehicle to provide recognition that is engaging, easy, and fun. Slack integration makes it even easier, so kudos for the team for launching it!

@bmtravis bhahaaha me too! For me, there's no middle ground. I either pick the first one that comes up for my search term or I try like 12 different search terms until I find a GIF that speaks to me.

@nikosmela thanks Nikos! How do you and @nafeesajaff celebrate everyday wins and stay connected at Quirk? It can be awkward to recognize your teammates when there are only a few of you!
@nafeesajaff @maja_orsic we don't use slack for Quirk, in fact. but we might have to very soon as we're bringing more hands on deck. I would think Bonusly does need some critical mass to be effective? what do you think?
@nafeesajaff @nikosmela it depends on the kind of company culture you want to establish early on! For instance, Bonusly can be really helpful during new hire onboarding if you want to encourage transparency and collaboration as cultural values. With a few people on your team, it could certainly feel like you're recognizing the same people all the time. But where's the harm in that? It sets a precedent for appreciation and makes saying "thanks" a part of everyone's everyday work life. 💚

Our devs and designers used Slack's new Block Kit Builder to create the new Give a bonus modal and Home tab menu. 💅🎨 And yeah, seeing bonuses (and GIFs) in your Slack workspace throughout the workday is really nice and encouraging! When it's so easy to recognize your colleagues, recognizing them often becomes the norm!
