This is really neat, and the price actually makes sense for what you get. I don't see this breaking into many classrooms because of the cost, but maker spaces and smart parents will get one for their kids.
This is a great branding idea but the price point is high. I would be glad when my child's could make their mistakes (as i had in this age) and learn from them. IMO it is a opportunity to offer the same hardware elements in different price/quality levels and let project of the child grow over time. Nice side effect for the brand: the future customer getting educated about the reasons for different price points in the own product family and in comparison to the competition.
